Only a true piece of automotive art can achieve this, and to do so in such a discreet manner? Without a shouty Italian V12 and scissor doors? Amazing.
it has our old-style Maxflo Mufflers and catbypass pipes. Our new style exhaust is a Supercup style system that is much deeper than the original Maxflo Mufflers. Check out my latest vid on my channel---it's a 993 Turbo with the Supercup exhaust installed.

id stick with driving it is fast just sounds like crap reved up sounds almost like it has some sort of misfireing problem even though i know it dosent just sounds like its missing a beat or something i donno sounds weird LoL o so much thought and effort into my comment LMAO

I agree, the 993 certainly isn't the fastest model, but overall the most attractive and most impressive Porsche model out there. I own one and let me tell you something, I barely ever get the chance to hit top speeds on the open road. In the end who gives a crap about what car does the quarter mile a second faster than the other car! The 993 is a beast and very few cars in the world can touch it.
@softface Yes, it has it all. Great performance, and still retains the ORIGINAL look of the 911. I love the 959 style headlights, and the spoiler is AWESOME!!!! I'm in an 87' Carrera Cabrio right now, but when the time is right, I will be getting a 993 turbo... It is the most obtainable supercar in my opinion.
I am a late comer to the conversation,I read all the comments and I will tell you that if you have never driven a Tip,you do not know the difference.I have a 993 turbo(Man),996 turbo(Tip) and 997C4S(Man).My 996 has the best time on the track in full auto mode due to the co-pilot called computer.
Once I own one of these, I'll never let it go. My dream car. Not the fastest, not the most powerful, but one of the most special. There is no substitute!

all carrera's were air cooled until 1998-present when the 996 and now 997 models are in production(now watercooled with a radiator)

They stopped making air cooled porsches when they switched to the 996. The 993 was the last of the air cooled.
