I appreciate Agathodaiman for creating such beautiful music. All of their albums are masterpieces; including Phoenix and Serpents Embrace. If they ever come to Los Angeles I'd make it a priority to shake their hands and say "Thank You" to them.

Why is it that so many European bands like Agathodaimon sing in english and not their native language?

@whisperdruid because if you can sing in English versus your native language (unless it is English) you are more likely to get a more world-wide fanbase. Most people understand English, not French, Dutch, or Norwegian.

Agathodaimon is one of the best examples of good musical evolution. Because, if you think about it, playing the same thing for however many albums would get boring, wouldn't it? And they never really "changed", like i said, just evolved their sound.

This album is great, as were all others. To Our Ashes in an amazing song. If you haven't heard the album yet, do it, you won't be disappointed.

I disagree.

This album has a very different sound as opposed to their past albums.

You are correct by saying that a band should evolve, but this album was a disappointment for me.

I just think that musically they were much better (my opinion).

I really wanted to like this album, but honestly this is (and possibly 'ground zero' to a lesser extent) were the only good songs I could find.

I just cant stand them trying to mix clean vocals with black metal. It just feels really forced and I'm sorry to say (because I DO like this band)- sell out.

yes, it's about Andrei Rusu aka Vlad Dracu. yeah' i know the part that he was in the band, and i know that the in the rest was Akaias but...u know, i'm a big fan of Vlad ...! it's just that Serpets was not really a good material of Agathodiamon ! this one now, it's just better !

i like Agathodaimon, but without Andrei it's just not the same ! he has the voice better than what's now ! to bad that he's not part of the band anymore ! but u know...keep on, this one it's better than serpents embrace !

Uhm you're sure that you don't mean Akaias instead of Andrei? Vlad was only heard partly on the second album, all other albums except for the demos were sung by Akaias.

you've got to understand our nationalistic feeling of promoting any Romanian musician and saying they are the best. Sometimes we are overexagerating although this is not the case. Vlad (or Andrei whatever) is a very good musician (his RA project is awesome) with some very inspirational songs but his contribution to agathodaimon may not be as high as we have expected. well, anyway, hope to see you in Fetesti this summer at Rock City Open Air! :)

Do you mean that the 3 demos : near dark ,carpe noctem and Tomb Sculptures are sung by Akaias and not by Andrei ?

All demos were sung by Vlad/Andrei (actually we've only had 2, "Tomb Sculptures" was a collection of tracks of the 2 demos that Andrei published). And of course Vlad also did at least 50% of the vocals on "Higher Art Of Rebellion"
