The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra will be performing this work LIVE as well as Colina's The Unbearable Lightness of Being and Three Cabinets of Wonder with Anastasia Khitruk (violin) on 29 Nov. 2011 at Cadogan Hall in London at 19.30 - I'll be there...
Oh really, listen to the music and see the "ART" in context ...doesn't fragmentation spring to mind...or are you veryfying biscuit crumbs on a 4 dimensional plane :-))
@5.20 put down your easels and listen only lsten with your eyes
Text is from prayer inscribed on wall cell 3 by Wanda Blazusiakowna, polish, catolic, 17 years old girl , inprisoned and tortured in Gestapo headquaters in Zakopane in 1944.
I agree that an image of an inscription on a cell would be relevant to Henryk's conceptual elements, but anyone not it the know might misconstrue the image or take it out of context. Overall, the two pieces, Kanevsky's and Górecki's, display a similar ambiance.
MAGNIFICENT SOUND!THIS SOUND SUITS TO THE DRAMATATIC SITUATION OF MY COUNTRY GREECE!!EPIC WORK!!!

Tears run down my eyes. Thank you for this and a curious choice of a painting as well!

@jamesaellis Is the calm, contemplative painting really that curious of a choice?

@shutupandpaint Well yes. Becasue other images came to mind such as the hills or a cell relevent to the work.

@jamesaellis Did you mean relevant?

Or maybe I'm wrong for noticing that. Sorry.
