There isnt going to be much difference in most modern FPS. Just like there wasnt much difference in older FPS. People want all FPS to be more like their favorite FPS and thats totally asinine. No matter which game someone likes there will always be others who think its garbage and nobody is going to be able to convince them otherwise. There is no consensus on what people want in a modern military fps.

I have a problem. Every time i click my Operation Flashpoint: Red River launch shortcut, or the actual game launching mechanism, the game doesnt load... It attempt to load, but it just attempts and then gives up i can't launch the game and i don't know why! Will someone please help... :(

If you want something diffrent that battlefield and that shit hole called COD. This is the game you need. You need to play save and tactic. For example: I needed to rescue 2 crashed pilots. I got them and the extraction bird was on the other side of a village. behind us where coming a lot of PLA. So we where falling back to the bird. We runned like hell to the heli. 1 pilot died with the heli in sight. We got inside the heli just i time and flew away. my hand where sweaty. TACTICIAL GAMEPLAY!

Good dialogue crap gameplay. They will never get this right. I'm seeing a bunch of marines w/ iron sights... ? I'll buy this when it goes on sale for $7.99 on steam just like the last flashpoint. At least they are attempting to move away from simulation.
So funny how he didnt say two cuss words per sentence in this trailer. This trailer makes him look like a pussy. In the game he says things like..."go grab a bag of nuts and man the fuck up", this trailer does no justice to the Staff Sergeant Knox character or how truly awesome the gameplay is compared to past failure and current blockbusters...Trust me you will be standing up screaming "OOOOHRAH!"
I'm just hoping that, unlike on OFPDR, this game actually gives the player a choice of weaponry and free reign to explore the place. DR was a decent game once you get used to the bugs: the only dissapointments were being forced to kill your own teammates at times to get a more approprite weapon, and far too linear missions.
The thing which annoys me is the fact that there is no mission editor or competetive online. Which actually sucked on dragon rising as you would get the idiots who would jump into the PLA chopper and spawn kill you. But yes I am definantly buying this. Anyone else? Peace....
Dragon Rising was just Crap...and you can't compare OFP with COD...too diffrent...IMO OFP now...is a mix of Battlefield and ArmA 2..but not realistic enough for ArmA2 .. thats why i play Arma...but lets see what the nwe part here will bring as the first OFP was really good.

Anyone watching this video that's even gonna buy this game? I know i am. I love playing dragon rising although the bugs can be pretty unforgiving, Anyway. I am looking for a serious fire team for Xbox 360 that are mature enough to not rush like some "idiots" and making your team lose. I mean real players that are hardcore and have patience enough to discuss tactics, use voice programs, Report incoming fire and giving sitreps. We've beaten the campaign (and enjoyed it) for that game and plan on getting the new edition. If you need some more guys to join alliance with then hit me up and ill think of something.

Wow. This trailer makes me want this game even more. I always had trouble without scopes on Flashpoint because the enemies were hard to see (because the graphics had this very grainy style to them). Now I feel like I'll be able to play more efficiently. Hopefully there aren't as many glitches in this one.
Dragon Rising was good because it was really difficult, at some times too difficult, especially in Hardcore mode. I hope this lives up to that standard, since it's all that game really had to keep a shooter fan going. Well, the large scale world was pretty awesome too.

Finally a game where you don't get shot and then regenerate back up in a few seconds! I've been waiting for something like this for a while. The closest I could remember was GRAW or GRAW 2, where three bullets just ruined your day. But I hear the health system will affect combat performance, etc. when you're hit, and you have to heal injuries. I've been waiting for this.

Incredibly boring and clichéd dialog. I really hope Flashpoint doesn't end up a run-of-the-mill shooter, it looks like they're heading that way at the moment. Dragon Rising was ok, it just needed more polish.
Free roam and a map editor for consoles would be nice too...
I think opening up the weapons/attachments alone can give it about 10x more replay. Having the same scripted missions with locked in outfitting really made for a "one and done experience". Glad they made the move.
These graphics need some work before the final release...but if the gameplay is what I hope it will be then i dont care that much about the graphics. I really want this game to turn out well...I'm getting burnt out on Bad Company 2 and its the only other shooter with any semblance of strategy and objective based multiplayer. I hate arcade style shooters.
Dragon Rising was great; sound, atmosphere and co-op - the feeling when you finally complete a mission on hardcore is amazing - this game is gonna be awesome.
i hope they keep it realistic like the last one. COD is just the same game over and over again, just different guns and perks. Theres not that many games like this so thats why i love it.

Both tests have practise versions available though and i've PM'd one such practise site to you, only thing is iv never sat or practised the ASVAB so i do not know how close to the real thing it is.Hope it helps though.

i'm going to wait till i see some mp combat and lag issues fixed. dragon rising mp was horrible. 4 v 4 with dumb as rocks Ai teammates?! are you kidding me?! and it didn't help that half of the games were spent shooting lag-marshmallows from the cannon on the bradley and getting raped by host-gods.

Anyone watching this video that's even gonna buy this game? I know i am. I love playing dragon rising although the bugs can be pretty unforgiving, Anyway. I am looking for a serious fire team for Xbox 360 that are mature enough to not rush like some "idiots" and making your team lose. I mean real players that are hardcore and have patience enough to discuss tactics, use voice programs, Report incoming fire and giving sitreps. I have been looking for some serious Players to play War games!

@prOsmu If this helps, me and 3 or 4 of my friends all have Dragon Rising, we all love war sims, and all plan on joining the USMC. We've beaten the campaign (and enjoyed it) for that game and plan on getting the new edition. If you need some more guys to join alliance with then hit me up and ill think of something.

Wow. This trailer makes me want this game even more. I always had trouble without scopes on Flashpoint because the enemies were hard to see (because the graphics had this very grainy style to them). Now I feel like I'll be able to play more efficiently. Hopefully there aren't as many glitches in this one.

Dragon Rising was good because it was really difficult, at some times too difficult, especially in Hardcore mode. I hope this lives up to that standard, since it's all that game really had to keep a shooter fan going. Well, the large scale world was pretty awesome too.

Finally a game where you don't get shot and then regenerate back up in a few seconds! I've been waiting for something like this for a while. The closest I could remember was GRAW or GRAW 2, where three bullets just ruined your day. But I hear the health system will affect combat performance, etc. when you're hit, and you have to heal injuries. I've been waiting for this.

the game wont feature competetive multiplayer, no freeroam, no map editor.. and it will be less realistic, being more like cod will snap-to-aim system, rapid recovery perks and shit...
fuck codemasters. they DONT listen to the fans. this shit are just about to get in the arcadegame mainstream, so why not buy cod instead.. or, ARMA 2!

Incredibly boring and clichéd dialog. I really hope Flashpoint doesn't end up a run-of-the-mill shooter, it looks like they're heading that way at the moment. Dragon Rising was ok, it just needed more polish.
Free roam and a map editor for consoles would be nice too...

I think opening up the weapons/attachments alone can give it about 10x more replay. Having the same scripted missions with locked in outfitting really made for a "one and done experience". Glad they made the move.

These graphics need some work before the final release...but if the gameplay is what I hope it will be then i dont care that much about the graphics. I really want this game to turn out well...I'm getting burnt out on Bad Company 2 and its the only other shooter with any semblance of strategy and objective based multiplayer. I hate arcade style shooters.

Dragon Rising was great; sound, atmosphere and co-op - the feeling when you finally complete a mission on hardcore is amazing - this game is gonna be awesome.

They convieniently left that containment ring infomatiom out when they were promoting Dragon Rising & its the main reason why we dont play it anymore.
They can set it up without the ring of death Red Dead Redemption does it with there big maps

It's amazing how much game graphics are advancing. I wanted to be part of it, but I changed my mind and now I'm heading to the Marines after high school. Then when I get out, I'm want to open up my own car repair shop when I leave UTI. xD

Both tests have practise versions available though and i've PM'd one such practise site to you, only thing is iv never sat or practised the ASVAB so i do not know how close to the real thing it is.Hope it helps though.
