What if my brackets and part of the wire from my off set jaw are biting on the bracket and wire, can I eat anything then or do I have to ear soft foods for a long ass time? Because everytime I bite down I put pressure on my braces, it sucks!

@XeresKyle Eat soft foods and talk to the orthodontist to see if their is something they can do to relieve you from biting on your braces.

Awh he's soo adroable. I ouldnt mind having him as my orthodontist ;) He seems really nice nad knows what hes talking about, yeah I ate popcorn before my braces nad it got stuck in my gumline nad when my orthodontist put the braces on she had tog et it out for me kinda embarassing, but I did not have spacers or anything so it was ok to. Now I cannot and will not eat it, Can I really not eat Slim Jims and Doritos? why?

@ColinMeloy91 Slim Jims and Doritoes are hard and can cause the braces to become loose. Its only for a little while.........

@DrGilbertSnow Thanks for the tip it will definatly be worth it in the end to wait a little while to eat those things. I sure do like my slim jims. Can people in braces eat a sub from subway if it is toasted but not really crunchy?

@Th3LetterH you can eat ribs just cut off the bone or cook the ribs in a crockpot to soften them up! :)

@villegasmeza97 u can drink soda but u have to rinse ur mouth with water or brush ur teeth rite ater cause if u dont then wen u get ur braces off, ur teeth will be stain with the shape and the bracket

Uh, my dentist could've told me a list of this I will not be able to eat for 2 years before I get braces so I could stuff my face with them one last time. Now I gotta wait 2 years :(

Don't freak out. Pastas macaroni n cheese soft tacos chicken (cut in small pieces same goes for steak) there is lots you can still eat with braces.
