Now, there's something that's been pointed out to me about a million times. I'm not the liveliest of persons, nor very expressive, nor emphatic, so it's hard to be any of those behind the kit too. It's just not me. So, I guess I'll go on watching the carpet, but thanks for the pointer anyway.
btw I'm not the only poker-faced drummer out there. What about guys like Neil Peart and Tomas Haake. Nobody seems to be bothered about their expressionlessness... ;)
Just realised you were the actual drummer for Diablo... Damn, that's awesome, concidering Diablo is one of the first metal bands I listened to when I was about 12 or 13, this being my favorite song back then. Great drumming!
Yep, I did use Remo roto-toms for many years. Roto-toms are a treat when it comes down to tuning to specific pitches. I was composing lots 'n' lots of solo drum compositions at the end of the ´90s, and tuning the regular toms was a pain in the butt, so hence the change. Now I've been using regular toms again for a couple of years, because they have a lot more beef. And of course when it comes down to metal, that's exactly what you need.
Loistavaa menoa edelleen ja vielä yhden Diablon parhaimman kappaleen parissa. Ei malta odottaa Icarosta. Mutta mistä johtuu "epätavallinen" asettelu? Vaihteluko virkistää? :)
Ihan hemmetin hienoa nähdä "lähietäisyydeltä" miten teikäläinen soittaa näitä biisejä. Livenä kun ei eturivistä kunnolla näe, mitä siellä takaosastossa tapahtuu. Kun päälle ei tule kitaroiden ja basson ääntä, korvaan tarttuu jännästi eri kohtia tuosta kappaleesta joita ei aiemmin ole huomannut.
Tack, tack! Oon saanu yllättävän paljon kiitosta siitä, että oon kutsunu ihmiset mukaan treenikämpälle. Vaikkakin vain näin netin välityksellä, niin silti... Näitä tulee kyllä varmasti lisää...

It's only for the show. I don't think that stick twirling can help you keep better time, cuz, you have to divide your attention when you do that.

Didn't you previously play a drumset that had no shells? Kind of like roto-toms on the whole kit (except for snare)?
I was always curious why you chose that type of drum set, and now why you don't play that kind anymore.
Keep up the kickass drumming! Diablo rocks, and yes, you have fans in the USA.
