  • Does anyone know in the giselle ballet, where and why does the peasant pas de deux happen? Who (in the story) dance it? Why isn't giselle dancing? PLEASE ANSWER MY QUESTION AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @ballerinagirl111 I think the peasant pas de deux is just a chance for Giselle to rest and for the other members of the party to dance, since it is a celebration. I think it's also just an excuse for the audience to see the artistic abilities of other pretty soloists in the company.

  • @Briavel1 Thanks! That would make sense since I was told by another youtuber that The Peasant Pas De Deux is just 2 random peasants dancing just before Giselle kills herself in act I. Apparently it has no meaning what so ever. Thanks again! That helped me alot!

  • holy crap. I wish I could do chacottes like that.

  • what's a chacotte? Sorry that I ask, but I do ballet, and I'm trying really hard to learn as much as I can

  • no prob. it's the straight up jump that she does exactly 23 seconds in. where she jumps up and beats her legs in susu to land in fifth again.

  • Was this a student production?

  • @Idanceallnight no i don't think so, i think its a company
