  • Amazing stuff. BluegrassLibrary, do you have the entire AMS series available? Almost all of those shows were outstanding - introduced me to a number of artists I'd not heard of before seeing them on AMS.

  • Geez, good 3-pt harmonies going on here.

  • @BluegrassLibrary if you could find Loving Only Me From this show we all will appreciate it thanks.

  • Keith Little on harmony vocals! Go Keith!

  • two talented and good guys

  • Ok to the 3 people who dislike this must be Rap fans and don't know what good music is supposed to sound like.

  • This is from the very show that introduced me to Albert Lee's playing 20 years ago. Incredible picking!!!

  • Can always count on Ricky for excellence vocally or instrumentally. Awesome.......

  • I love Ricky's lick at :45. Albert is awesome. Vocals and harmonies are amazing. This show was a bright spot among the has-beens and lame quiz shows of the Nashville Network. Kudos to Mark O'Connor for getting a great house band and consistently great talent.

  • Albert Lee!!!!! YA!!! I remember when I first heard him in the early 80's ..... wow... and he STILL blows me away. Great post!! ~KK

  • I suppose Al can play a little bit.

  • sick.

  • Albert Lee beats the shit out of Eric Clapton! Ten times!!

  • Albert plays major scale and Eric plays pentatonic ,they`d be great together in a band trading solos , both great at what they do!

  • If you haven't already, check out these Clapton albums - "Another Ticket", "Money & Cigarettes", and "Just One Night" - all three with Albert Lee

  • yup!

  • good call paul

  • Albert is one of Eric's favourite guitarist, which must be why Eric has used Albert in his own band. Read Eric's auto biography to read it in his own words. Guitar playing is not a competition, although I do believe as guitarists/musicians we have a duty to push ourselves and improve, not only for ourselves but also for the sake of the instrument.

  • dude clapton and lee are the best out of what they do tottally different styles dont compare just appreciate them

  • Thanks for post!!!!!!!

    GREAT~~~

This is why Albert Lee's nickname is Mr. Telecaster!

  • Totally amazing!

This guy's got such a tight tempo feel!Strong attack, everything! The double stops killing licks so inspired too!Yes you're right imw50,back to the drawing board!sniff sniff!!!

  • Oh well ... back to the drawing board.

  • Albert is the king of hot country guitar-No doubt! Awesome video, more please!

  • Albert, We love you.

  • Good Lord! Thanks for posting this. I lost my VHS of this back in the '90s. I think this is from '91. Albert's playing still does it for me.

  • Go, Albert!

  • I agree with roselovr2004. I remember hearing this Gram Parsons song about 15 years ago. I sure miss American Music Shop and all of the other wonderful programs that were on the old TNN.

  • I can play guitar like that, I just don't want to. XD

  • after hearing albert...who'd want to?

  • Great performance ahd great vid.

  • Always one of my favorite Gram Parsons songs :-) This will go through my head every now and then just by happenstance (even if I don't play it often). Great song.

Fantastic version, too, with Albert, Ricky, Mark O'Connor and Harry Stinson and etc.

  • Albert is a legend!!
