This would be great, only if it were true! I work for CDCR and have had nothing but paycuts and benefit reductions for the last 6 months. I'm leaving CDCR and joining CHP in 1 month, start the CHP academy in september...Screw CDC!

The guy just got promoted. He is a Sergeant at the Correctional training Facility, In Soledad california. He's a good guy.

You have to concider that the cost of living in CA is one of the highest in the country also. So $75K really isn't as good as it seams.

yea but u the area your livign in gets considered so u end up gettign mroe based on that...plus thats not including holday pay, vacation pay, over a grand a yr for uniforms which u never buy after u first get on the force, longevity and residual pay..u end up making more with this alone not even mentioning unlimited sick leave and overtime which every1 ends up doing
