I bought one of these a couple of month ago . When you take it out all the guitarist where ever I go , go nuts. You can play with the accustic guys but you can make it scream. You can play at the blues jam and it's like playing an SG. If you pull out on the nose you hear the built in amp . If you push in then you are going out to the amp and it Smokes. A real head turner . It is one of those pices of gear that you look over and and smile and say to your self . I'm glad I bought that.

Agreed the built in amp is poor, but it has a headphone socket which gives much much better quality. So the size and that fact make it still good for travelling etc
Vox makes headphone amplifiers that sound better and plug into any guitar. I think Marshall makes them too. Why wouldn't you get one of those if you're wanting to use headphones?
Hate to pop your bubble but.....Pignose does not actually make that guitar their self's....ARIA Pro makes the guitar, which, if you have not already heard of them, build excellent guitars.
I'm not very familiar with Aria, but that makes no difference. It is in fact a Pignose amplifier inside it, not Aria.
It's like if you put some 5 dollar single coil pickups into a B.C. Rich Mockingbird. Sure, it's one of the best guitars you can get, but it'll still sound like utter garbage.
Hmmm batteries instead of an amp......interesting... could be useful in concerts outside lol
