13 years later and we still love this. They should remake this to PC with some one who knows pc-graphis. Gameplay in PC translation of MGS was good unlike Sons of Liberty's though it was playable after little re-setting of the controls.

I can actually say that I started on the original Metal Gear, missed MG2 (DAMMIT!), and then jumped to MGS.

I'd give a year's paychecks to see Hideo Kojimi remake the original two Metal Gear games with modern graphics, voice acting, the works. Just to see the YOUNG Snake (hah!) at the start of his career. The sheer awesome of the game would cause your face to melt off just by opening the DVD case for it.

Mikeej11: Metal Gear Solid the film is scheduled for 2012 and is billed as a live action film. David Hayter is not in the film but hopefully the internet campaign that is running to get him to be involved will be succesfull and we will have the real Solid Snake in the film. Also it is not one of the games but a different story (Outer Heaven proberbly). Either way can't wait!

The first time playing this game and having to wait for the elevator to get back down after Liquid's use, and then running your ass to it while 2 or 3 guards are patrolling... some tense and heart-pounding moments the first time I played it.

I remember my first reaction when I ran into a puddle and a guard was like "Huh?! What was that noise?" and then they'd waltz over to find no trace of Snake. Little did he know I'd be behind him, eagerly waiting for my chance to choke the shit out of him.
