Why is it that whenever someone says Patton's screams, growls, are better than any black metal or death metal vocalist they've ever heard, someone assumes they are calling Patton a black or death metal vocalist? They mean his screams are a lot more intense than any they've ever heard. Not calling Patton one. Fact: Patton started as a death metal vocalist with Bungle. But the fact that he can sing like Frank Sinatra, yet EFFORTLESSLY scream in such way, is amazing. Screaming is easy for Mike.

Saw them live back in 91 (Paris). FNM are untouchable. There aren't any special unique new bands nowadays(Emo crap) all just copy cats of these guys and Metallica, Slayer, and AC/DC/Maiden/Sabbath before them(to name a few).. there hasn't been anything innovative for a while. No matter how heavy the new metal bands sound nowadays they still sound too shallow and even "boy-bandish".

Not many keyboard parts to the King For a Day, Fool For a Lifetime album. Do some reading on FNM's history. Roddy had some issues during the recording of this album and much was written and recorded w/o him. Keyboard bits were written, recorded and added just before final mix and mastering. Hence lack of audible keyboard in much of the live stuff from KFaD-FFaL

well...I had only listened to a couple of faves first and now that I give a listen to some of the keyboard heavy songs, they could have been turned up a bit, but I can still hear them fine on Easy, Evidence, Take This Bottle, Chariots of Fire...eg. I find it plenty loud, but just a shade out of balance with the volumes of all the other channels (mic sources).
