I get hot water right out of the tap, or I microwave it. I am too lazy for something like this, yet fascinated that you made it.

Where does one find a black jar? Could you wrap a clear jar with some black plastic cut from a trash bag?

I carefully sealed a canning jar and painted it with flat black spraypaint. It's still working just fine.
