4:58 "I give you my word as a gentleman that no debtor will ever set foot in this house". Surely he means "creditor". The lady of the house, whose family are obviously the debtors, also got this wrong a few seconds earlier. Odd mistake to make for such a first-class series. But, in fact, it is the bailiffs acting on behalf of the creditors who confiscate property for non-payment of debts.
It wasn't contractual. He didn't want to continue, having fallen out with the producers over scenes relating to Keren Daniel. He and Robin Ellis had issues about some of the dialogue and ultimately it shook his faith in the production.
i much preferred the original enys, much cuter. contractual differences, i think was generally accepted, prevented him signing up for the second series. wish they'd made hundreds more episodes, i could watch all day long, every day.
I am always expecting J.R. Ewing from "Dallas" to pop into a scene now and then. This is SO much on the same line... Different people with the Same personal effects following the Same business ventures with the Same women leading and breaking the oathes as in Dallas. I wonder who will kill J.R. Only the Final episode will tell.
@resculptit This is so much better then Dallas, I live in the US, I watched Dallas when I was a teen. Poldark has a more real and believable store. The first time I watched it I fell in love, 3 mo ago. I am now on my forth time and totally hooked, Right now I am waiting on the last 5 books to be delivered so I can read the rest of the store. To many stores end happily ever after, we all live in the real world. I am not saying we can not be happy, but it take a hell of a lot to get there.

I liked the guy who played George, not completely black, occasionally human but ultimately a complete and utter bastard.
