Comparing season 4 of Airwolf to Seasons 1-3 is like comparing the tv miniseries of Stephen King's THE SHINING to the Stanley Kubrick original. The remake was ok and watchable and even had some good points but, PALES IN COMPARISON to the original!

Amen to that. Jan was not a piece of crap. Unfortunately, yes.. he did get into drinking and all which was an unfortunate thing. But he was a far better pilot for Airwolf than Barry Van Dyke. And if you notice, most of the flying scenes and all came from the first 3 seasons. So nothing about Season 4 was real.
The plot lines and stories made absolutely no sense and the plot lines even less so. Barry Van Dyke can not replace Stringfellow Hawke nor should he have tried.

a) Nearly all the "flight" sequences were borrowed from Seasons 1-3.
b) The SFX were boring, the story lines even more so.
c) The characters were okay. But there are simply no actors comparable to Jan Michael Vincent and Ernest Borgnine.

They used recycled footage as everyone knows bt wen i watched da adverts for airwolf season 4 i started to notice that season 4s storylines had sort of coppied some of tha original storylines from season 1 - 3
Season 4 would have been a hell lot better if they has kept String and Dom in the show.
