OUR BROTHER BOB MARLEY - A MUSICAL ANGEL ONCE PASSED THROUGH HERE FROM ZION! THE SINGERS AND PLAYERS OF INSTRUMENTS ARE THERE! ARE YOU WORKING FOR THE MOST HIGH GOD? WORK FOR HIM!
@OsterrichV The word ''Zion'' is the place where our God Jah lives (heaven in other words) and is not a word that was created by the writers of the Matrix. Word has it that the Matrix was an idea ripped-off from a Rastafarian woman. So that's how the Zion connection may have gotten in the Matrix in the first place! Truth is Zion from Matrix was not what we referred to what we said is that Bob came from Zion to earth and has now gone back there. Yes?
I just love it! i have to work a 14 hour shift every thursday and this song is what gets me through it :) Thank you for posting and thank you Bob Marley and the Wailers for this beauty of a tune.
We jah people come together we can make it work, five days to go working for the next day, listen up yoll truth is like my friend Bob Marley is saying together we can really make a difference to the shitstem and make it work in a positive light for the benefit of righteousness and th betterment of all of mankind, so we give, thanks and praises to Jah. Rastafari and I, Courtesy of Neville Bardoli aka Steppin Razor
I can't resist this song. Such tasty hooks! It's wonderful to see such an inspired live version. The Wailers and the I-Threes are wonderful, and Bob Marley knows exactly where to add his vocals and embellishments.
It's so sad that he died so young. His music lives.
If you like his solo's, you should check my channel, I've made 3 videos with Guitar solo's with Junior Marvin & Al Anderson from Bob Marley & The Wailers
I'm sorry bro but you're off. 100% black people CAN get skin cancer, and they actually have more deaths from skin cancer because its harder to tell. Black skin= ~13spf, not enough to stop skin cancer.
;) Thanks for your time, and before you flame me saying how I'm wrong, LOOK IT UP. I was taught this by someone with more than a ph.D in bullshit-youtube-comment-posting :)
Either way, still no hate goes to you, mistakes are made ^^
LOL awesome post!!!!!! LOLMAORFLMAO.. I got a Ph.D in bullshit myself, I just don't use it like the other feller does. Great post man, ya made me laugh.
he did'nt believe in taking off any body parts.i have the same belief.although he was young it was his time jah was ready for him he take his chosen ones soon so the devil can.t corupt their mind. although he is missed heis not forgotten. his work here was done he gave us a lot of positive music in his short life. he did die in miami but gets a heroes funeral in jamaica.we wish he had made it home alive but whats is to be must be. those are bobs worr he was'nt meant to die in Ja or liveto be 37
i am blown away !! i never found a band hypnotize me like this band . to be in that concert should have been like a dream. amazing is just a good word for this. thank you youtube !
uptil late 79 bob played to mainly white or mixed audiences realizing death is waiting he set about his trilogy survival uprising and confrontation? forgot the bloody third well u get the idea wordy but hey!!
i cant agree... his music was always about confrontation, see even the early songs were about slavery and struggle... he adopted Rasta well before 79, and obviously when he played europe his audiences were mainly white. But he was a star in jamekya first!!!! death to all oppressors, black and white, is what bob said... dont twist his words or rewrite history....
Very well put. I never have bought into the idea that Bob knew him was gonna pass, once he got his diagnosis he did everything in his power and within man's earthly powers (doctors) to survive. You know one thing, this man put out great music, he crossed many boundaries, he was far superior in intelligence than the people who judged him... but one thing that is never really talked about is the fight he put up to survive. He was not ready to go, he fought a good fight indeed.. brave man.
SkeeboDa1, I heard when he heard he heard he had cancer in his toe, he could have cut it off and most likely the cancer would be gone, but instead he kept it because it was against his religion. The cancer then spread throughout his body which ended up making him die. That's what I read. I don't know if it's true or not though.
He was playing football with french journalists and he injured his toe on leg ... during dressing they discovered starting skin cancer in his body (black people can't get it but his father was white man). At first he wont start with treatment because of his religion... and when he made a decision about treatment, it was too late ... and died 11.5.1981 in American hospital , I think.
You are right. In 76 I believe is when him get the diagnosis of melanoma in his toe. It was caused by a soccer injury he got when playing a lil game in Italy while on tour. it became infected and cancer formed. He had it cosmetically worked on to remove the cancer cells and of course as we can tell it was unsuccesful. 4 years later he received his deathly diagnosis on Sept 21 after collapsing in Central Park while jogging.... He still fought for his life but passed on may 13,1981.

hail to earl wire lindo's funky wah wah keyboard!!!!
rastapontop 2 years ago
Funny how the keyboard player (Earl Lindo) was called "Waya" (Wire), and that is due to the fact that he was tall and skinny.
The percussionist Al Patterson was called "Seeco", obviously because he was a crazy case. hehehe
Legendary musicians !!

Add to that the bass player (Aston Barret) he was named family man, because he had a dozen on illegitimate children.
them guys had some wicked sense of humor. hehe
