I remember this game, it was extremely rare for the fact that something imaginary was able to move me emotionally. Exceptional game, wish they'd make more games of that caliber.
I use the mouse, actually. I forget if I had the AS mouse speed turned all the way up for this video, but for a good while now I've had it at full speed.
Dude! I got a headache just watching! This is amazing! I wanna try! (Will epicly fail and put it on youtube. XD Or not...) I'd most likely get distracted by all the lights... You're awesome! Thank you for showin' me a such a trancing version of DDR! XD
Well, there's a lot more action and strategy in it, for one. My preferred mode of playing doesn't really show off the strategy bit too well, but you can choose from a variety of cars with different abilities, and you can use power ups outside of the Mono modes and the like.
The differences between this and Stepmania are pretty huge, really, but if you can't tell by watching then go play the trial on Steam and see if it tickles your fancy.
Still though, ya won't get anywhere trying to compare AS to something spammy like Stepmania or what have you. Different track systems and all. Plus AS doesn't go by beats alone.
Uh yeah they do. O.o Just try playing the game for yourself; it makes sense when you're actually doing it. Anticipation of the next beat or note is the same in AS as it is in any music game.
I don't alter the song tracks themselves to move blocks however I want them. Ironmode increases block congestion slightly. I've never done this song without Ironmode on, so maybe it'll look weird to you if you've never played it that way. :U
I think this song/stage (I haven't played this game before so please excuse me if it's called something else) is well designed. I also noticed the skill of the player is also an important factor in creating a good video. This video is great because it does not lack neither a good song nor a good player. :D
And to you posters down there, Sho Minamimoto smiles upon your comments.
In Audiosurf, the stage's design and relative difficulty depends mostly on the individual song. You're right about the player's skill playing an important part in the watchability of a video, though. I'm glad that I seem to be doing something right in this game. Thanks. :D
its a gr8 game i havent completed it yet i think on on week 2 day 6 but do u know if there gunna make a sequel i doubt they will tho coz they never do sequels for little games like this and exept from games with final fantasy in the name kh is the only square enix game to have a sequel
Nah, by the time you finish it, you'll see that this game is great as a standalone. I would actually be heart-broken if they tried to make a sequel, as the story finished so beautifully.
this deserves. SINE COSINE...TAANGEEET

Do you play using your mouse, or your keyboard?
From the looks of it I'd guess keyboard, but I could be wrong.

>.> stepmania isnt spammy unless you find stepfiles made by retards who just think it follows the song when clearly its off by 3 seconds.
if this game attempted to do what stepmania can do it'd be to clusterfucked.

Psh, yeah. XD But really, try this game out. With NES chiptunes.

how come you get the song mirrored played in audiosurf?
is it the iron mode or?
great playing btw

What do you mean by mirrored?
WindyRat 3 years ago
well you have that part where the ship pauses(~0:09)
on the left side and i have it on the right
that's why i asked if it's mirrored
