  • I made the decision to go vegan about 2 months ago and your website and videos have been a huge help and inspiration to me. Going vegan has also made me want to be as green and eco friendly as I can.

I was really stressing about making mistakes and feeling bad about not making this life choice sooner, but after watching this video I felt much better and knew that its about trying your best and being kind to yourself as well as the environment. Nobody's perfect!

  • please stop. you're trying SO hard. you're living more conscious and healthier than pretty much all of human population including me. so don't judge yourself so hard.

  • I agree that it's OK to feel guilty! Our society ALSO encourages us not to dwell on guilt, feel bad, being down on yourself, etc etc. But I think it is OK to feel these things sometimes when you have a good reason for it! This helps us stay on track!

Thanks for reminding me to shop second hand.

  • one reason Ross is so cheap is because the clothes come from big name dept.stores that have been discontinued and/or defected merchandise. it's not going to be all that defected though. next time you go look for little imperfections in the clothes so it's not as bad as you may think as far as why their discounted.

  • (I know this is long, it starts from the bottom) All I'm saying is that we can only hope one day to become part of the solution as well.

  • Hi Whitney, I want to share with you an idea that has forming in my head since I started watching your and others' eco-friendly/vegan videos,

  • I've observed how you try so hard no to affect. Not to affect the planet, animals, people, make your CO2 footprint smaller and smaller, to not consume; not to affect the lives of others. And I think, getting realistic, because of today's society and because of life itself, the ideal of a being that does not kill or harm others indirectly is imposible.

But there is another point I think you probably don't stress out enough, I'ts that we cannot not affect, but we can affect in a possitive way.

  • Thank you for this video Whitney!

  • once "fitting in " is 'done with' - mebbe we can all move on ?!

    btw, can you sew ?

    interesting vid, cheers.

  • Don't be too hard on yourself girl. It's tough living in modern society. You want to do the right thing but yet it is hard.

  • that dog is mad cute

  • You are SUCH an inspiration!!!...im a sculptor (of dolls) and i have been watching all your videos from the beginning while i work. I'm vegan but haven't made a jump to gluten free and soya free yet but i very much want to. I buy a lot of clothing at charity shops here in england but sometimes i will buy things from ebay....i try things on in the shops..If i like something i'll remember the style/size and try to find it second hand on ebay. thanks for your WONDERFUL videos!!

  • How did you find clothes made in the USA at Ross? -- You deserve a medal for finding that there.

  • I borrow clothes from family or friends, even better I think. I just do the best I can and try not to feel too guilty about it. I do love to shop at the GreaterGood stores online, they have quite a few things that are fair trade, plus depending on the store you buy from, you save rainforest or feed rescued animals or hungry people, etc.

On that note, you should do a video on those click to donate sites, like Care2, RedJellyfish, therainforestsite, etc. I have been clicking at those sites ever
