2 common mistakes: tires over inflated plus high rev's break traction.

the way you pop the throttle only damages engine components and only serves to break traction even more. for great traction you want low tire pressure and low rpm's. I've been off-roading for over 35 years and for my first few years I thought hard tires made for better traction but in reality you get little traction with lots of tire cuts and flats and high rpm makes tire slip thus loosing even more traction. good luck!

Sounds like the rev limiter is set at like 3500. My theory on wide tires is as follows, wide footprint no ground pressure, narrow footprint lots of pressure. In this case the soil looks hard, no roost, wet, but hard. The low pressure per inch on the ground is killing it.

But unless your there one can only guess.

mabye the rig is gear extremly low and the trans used is one for shifting on the fly.... just a thought.

he keeps hitting the same line, if he had taken it slow and careful he would have made it around. infact I imagine my YJ on 33's with 4.5" of lift could have crawled up. wheel speed isn't always (or usually) the only answer
