When my son was about 3 or 4 my grandmother sent the first gift to arrive at our house. He was so excited so I let him open it. It was a sweater. Poor guy burst into tears! It became his favorite sweater, but just not what he had expected. ;)

All through the year the parents made him listen to tapes backwards that said "Books for Christmas are good. Smile for the camera..." LOL And even then, he could tell something was going on when his parents recorded that moment specifically, sweating and reminding him to smile. But at least he got the message! ;)

ok, so this is obviously set up. but that is ok. It is tough being a humble kid when your parents buy you everything under the son. Previously the dad said that he went a little overboard in the gift shopping because it was his first Christmas. Well that is understandable, but once again you can see he repeated his first offense.
