Farseer (doom & fortune) mounted on a jetbike and a group of seers (4-6) all use witchblades (not spears, need that extra attack) They realy murder anything (almost)

You cannot kill a Hive Tyrant with a diresword since the instant kill is determined on a leadership test. Hive tyrant has the synapse creature rule which means they automatically passes all leadership and morale tests, and therefore the diresword effects are null on the Hive Tyrant.

I might have misunderstood you, but you said "Thanks to the diresword".

@JailbreakJezie fearless means they pass all moral and pinning, leadership is basicly a characteristic test, but still dont see a hive tyrant failing very often

The only advantage of a standard farseer apart from cheaper points-wise vs. Eldrad is that the standard one can take a jetbike

Mnyes, here's my two cents abotut random stuff:

Eldar genders: as far as I know, all units can be both sexes, even Banshees (even though they only come as female models, I don't think they're exclusively female).

Singing spear: what has already been said, plus Strength 9 versus vehicles.

Farseer and Warlock weapons: it would have been dead sweet if they had force weapons, but sadly, they are only "psychically charged". Normal beatsticks.

Eldritch storm: I agree, it scatters (but I don't like it)

What does the singing spear do in combact. Does it give any special effects like the witchblade.

In close combat it functions exactly as a Witchblade, the only difference between the two is the shooting attack and the fact that it is two handed.

I have Eldrad basically because he as a 3+ Inv. Save and T4. Apart from that he is sort of a waste of points

@Gunshotinyahead waste of Points? His Divination ability rocks, is a great in close combat has all powers and wargear, almost always passes physic tests, and most enemies will fail theirs. Using three powers per turn?! I would have to disagree and say that if anything they will make him more expensive in the future.

I often play against Guard so they die one way or another really so I don't really see the benefit. The one time he got stuck into Assult terminators they had a Librairian and he got fried :-( Still Divination is quite cool

Seconded, he's an epic HQ choice. I use him in my mech Saim-Hann list and throw him in a Wave serpent attatched to one of my units. He throws out fortune and guide over a sizable chunk of my army each turn and shuts down all the cheesy slanesh lash and psychic spam you see these days.

doom and eldritch storm work brilliantly in small point games, especially against tau because they have a lot of weak units. I took out a squad of 10 kroot and then 12 fire warriors with eldritch storm.

That ability that allows the Farseer to use two Psychic Abilities in one turn. Can you use Doom on an enemy squad and Guide on your own? To just really imbalance the face-off?

Yep you can do that, in fact it's probably the most common Psychic combo you will see!

Nope. It's either a Witchblade or Singing Spear, just a different model. The exception of course being Eldrad when the staff is his special wargear.

They can be either, the Wraithbone armour makes it very hard to tell but I think all the models are male however the Eldar women are just as capable as the men so anyaspect can be either sex, with the exception of Banshees which are all female.

i use 2 farseers . one to stay back with my wraithlords with guide and the other in a serpent with doom +e.storm or mindwar +doom or guide + fortune (and a squad of avengers or dragons in he serpent )farseer will not disembark .works for me
