  • Is Ford going to eat this one or is it customer pay?

  • @dbenny1000 ford is paying half.

  • V10s are reliable for the most part. We have an 03 Ex V10 we mainly use it for towing our trailer and it does it with no problem. Also we haven't had any major problems with it.

  • @60POWERSTROKE73 maintenance is the key.

  • Was there anything wrong with the 6.8 v10 or did they jus replace it.

  • @Fordman903 rod knock and major end play from the engine crank.

  • Whas

  • is it normal for all those parts to look that brown or is it casue of the bad oil

  • @SuperchargedMustang5 its varnish/ carbon from the miles and not changing the oil as needed. Leaving the oil in for to many miles does this and leads to a fail lol.

  • @tom58c mine are a little bit brown but nowhere near this bad. i guess this wont hurt nything?

  • @SuperchargedMustang5 A higher milage engine is bound to have some varnish and carbon in it. it shouldnt as long as you keep up on the oil changes with good filters.

  • @tom58c yes. this engine only had about 50k miles. maintenance is a must.

  • @SuperchargedMustang5 its bad.

  • @SuperchargedMustang5 No thats bad the technical term for whats left of that oil is "SLUDGE"

  • Did they ever change the oil, wow!!

  • @PWRSTR0KER2008 that's what happens

  • In general aren't the v10's good if u maintain them? Thanks for sharing.

  • what happened to the old one, did it lock up due to oil sludge?

  • @infinity3jif Rod knock. the engine smell like shit too.
