  • They're perfects! Wow!

  • Now I can see how much Jose loves balanchine............

  • Amazing !!!

  • Sylvie and Agnes, to me...the BEST French ballerinas I have ever seen. Two of my favorite all time ballerinas too. I so enjoy watching Agnes perform. What a magnificent artist.

  • @MsBalletomane

Sylvie and Agnes, the two finest ballerinas in my opinion. I could not agree with you more. The precision that is exhibited in this video is absolutely not going to be found in any other company.

  • Paris Opera is always the best!

  • @jlovesballet the tutu was designed by Agnes herself! You can see it on her official website

  • @flaviakonig do you know the name of her website?

  • @jlovesballet is not a tutu !!

  • that was the cutest thing ive ever seen! That costume is AWESOME

  • @jlovesballet she designed the tutu herself. It is shown on her personal website. :)

  • I love these simple stages..I don't like it when there are soo many things onstage that you can't tell whether something is a decoration or part of the dancer's leg!! here you can see them clearly and I think it is much nicer to watch than when there are a lot of things behind them..just my opinipon

greaat video by the way :D

  • I love her!!! and i love her dress too!!! I would be like her!!!

  • @jlovesballet I think that tutu is actually designed by Agnes, i'm not sure though :) isn't it amazing?

  • @88888Di88888 yes she designed the dress.

  • Hello, my name is also Agnes, and I left in my ballet

hometown, Rio Branco / Acre, Brazil.

Agnes loved to see a dance that also like me. Regards,

    I await new videos

  • Olá, meu nome também é Agnes, e faço balé aqui na minha cidade natal , Rio Branco/ Acre, Brasil.

Adorei ver uma Agnes que também dança como eu. Abraço, aguardo novos vídeos.

  • i think she is a grate dancer i dont care if she has something wierd in her upper body

  • 3:47 those pirouettes where he lets go? Insane.

  • you're right about the costumes palubob

  • I loved the dress it is beautiful ! but ther is something weird in her upper body I dont know what but it bothered me a little bit.

  • I believe that Letestu designed her own costume, and also that of Martinez. Someone please correct me if I am wrong about this.

  • I think they are dressed in the attire she designed and shows in the documentary DVD produced by CasaDei. And what a SHOW here!! I wish I knew how to make a screensaver of fhis, but I'm ignorant about these things.

  • would you, or anybody for that matter, have any idea how the skirt was made or what kind of tutu it is? it's absolutely beautiful!

  • All I think when I hear the first piece is RAD grade six... Or maybe it was grade 7, but I think it's grade six :P

  • @Cazarellagaia i know, second port de bras, grade six ;) then coppelia.

  • The dress... It's unbeliveably beautiful. So flowing and it looks like water. I love it

  • i really wish i could see her in EVERY role.

she is just awesome! also, i love his feet. i wish mine looked that good!

  • she needs to loosen up the upper body

  • maybe thats it. something just seems wierd about her upper body...

  • The French women of this generation especially are known for having very proper and strong port de bras. If you watch the same ballerina in Le Cigarette by Serge Lifar here on youtube, she looks a bit more relaxed.

  • A pesar de su altura, José tiene un equilibrio digno de envidiar

  • I hate how audiences always clap whenever a man does one jump, but a woman can go out there and do the most amazing things and they don't seem to even notice!!

  • @SonyaNatalia (sarcasm) Yeah, men have the easiest time. (/sarcasm)

  • @SonyaNatalia I think you should give men more credit. They keep you from falling over and lift you all the way throughout the adage and then have to go straight into a variation which unfortunately are mainly jumps and technical bravura rather than dancing.

  • @SonyaNatalia I usually feel like it is the other way around, the woman gets all the applause while the man is just 'the accompanist', nothing more, nothing special. Sad that it is like that.

  • Very nice indeed! I too wonder when and on what occasion this was filmed.

  • She looks as if she's dancing on clouds. She's so light on her feet. :D beautiful...

  • This is lovely, POB has such refined, strong dancers who don't overindulge the music or put on gaudy technical shows for no reason (unlike some of Kirov/Maryinsky or Bolshoi's dancers, for instance). Letestu is also an example of a ballerina who doesn't have what are considered perfect proportions (a relatively long torso) but is lovely regardless. Her body reminds me of the wonderful Judith Fugate, NYCB principal in the 70's/80's.

  • Letestu has beautiful legs but her upper body was bothering me; it looked so tense and her shoulders were up

  • Letestu is such a polished dancer. She falls off pointe at 8:02, but it's hardly noticeable.

Martinez is a surprisingly good choreographer. I hope he gets some commissions outside France and Spain.

  • If I am not mistaken Letestu designed the costumes. The music for the final variations is from Coppelia.

  • I can only imagine the practice this takes, great job dancers!

  • hi,the music is lovely, can anyone tell me wat music is it?

  • As it says it's by Delibes, and parts of it sound familiar to me, I think it's from the ballet "Sylvia".

  • and coppelia

  • jose is such an adorable man, and they are both impeccable technicians

  • Excellent. Was this part of a POB Gala? When was this filmed?

  • who choreographed this?

  • Cor. José Martinéz.

  • Beautiful pas-de-deux !

    Who is the choreographer ?

  • The choreographer is José Martínez himself.

  • Thank you !

  • Big deal-I can do this too..she says as she ponders how to build a rocket out of paper clips!!! ( interpretation..Uh..I could NEVER DO THIS! )Excellent dancers!! Time to get out my tutu..and my straight - jacket. This video should come with a warning. DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!!

  • the ending is definitely what does it for me. lovely performance! and her muscles are amazing.
