For whatever reason, The Land is my favourite pavilion in Epcot. I don't even love any of the rides especially, however I do like them all. It's just the feeling I get from the pavilion itself that I love.
Anyone know the story behind the mosaic. Just went to Epcot a few weeks ago after not being there since the late '80s... It was nice to see the mosaic still there after all those years. Was like a time-warp for me. :)
I couldn't imagine working in "The Land". You'd have to smell that awesome food the entire time without being able to eat it! I can hardly handle it as it is, just going to Soarin' or Living with the Land.
Nice job. I worked as a theater host at the Land for 4 months when 1st started at WDW in 1985. I was told the murals on both sides were identical, except for 1 piece (which I would have to show you). The mural was to represent a slice of the earth taken out of the land, so you could see the different layers. Another bit of trivia, I was told that when the mural was under construction, a 24 hour guard was on hand so it would not be tampered with. In the morning they made cinnamon buns!

The 15 second clip starting at 7:07 breaks my heart. If you know why, then you know why...

Don't be silly, Epcot and this place obviously are very special to you, as it is to most people watching this video, nothing wrong with that.

Beautiful! Oh what I'd give to be there now. And for EPCOT to be its old self. Oh well.

Just knowing that the company sponsored the pavilion made Kraft products taste better.
