I don't like Twilight and I didn't like Kirsten Stewart until I saw The yellow Handkerchief and I really loved it and realized she actually is quite a good actress. (I don't like her face, but that's something different, I'm not saying I hate her acting or something.)

It does not matter who plays who in this movie. It is just so utterly depressing that "Hollywood" has to ruin any and everything. Some books, especially classics like On the Road, should be left alone...

On another note, it will also be terrible to hear teenagers/people who do not read talk about this movie not knowing who Jack Kerouac is or that is was even based on a book.

The more I read about and around "On The Road" the more I think the movie is going to screw it up. Not because of the cast or anything (it's a brilliant cast) but because it won't show any of the real meanings and happenings and depth this whole story has (seriously if there is even a comment made about Ginsberg's and Cassady's relationship then I will be impressed).

First I really didn't like Kristen being cast for this, but then I realized I loved her in The Runaways so I got over that. Now I really think this movie is gonna be good, and Garrett is always great.

On the Road is my absolute fav. book of all time and it makes me sick to my stomach everytime I see the cast that was chosen to make this film. Now there'll be an entire flock of twilight douche bags rushing to see a movie they know nothing about for the sole purpose of seeing Kristen Stewart. What makes "On the Road" so great is Kerouac's prose and that will never be recreated on film. The one character that they HAD to get right is Dean Moriarty, needless to say the director failed to do so.

I hate when people like all of you who commented here assume that when Kristen does a movie other than Twilight, it's gonna be just like Twilight. Like, what the fuck? This movie is directed by Walter Salles, an incredible director, and is an adaptation of a book COMPLETELY different than Twilight. I can guarantee that none of you have ever watched any other movie Kristen has been in. Don't typecast her. She's a phenomenal actress that gets TONS of praise for her talent.

Those involved in a film do not give a valid opinion about it's quality. Marylou was a shallow, easy woman who never really showed any genuine emotions or ideas--doesn't that sound alot like the criticisms of Kristen Stewart's typecast?
