My niece (who is actually 5 months older than me and just turned 18) has a 1 year old daughter, and my 16 year old cousin (who had the baby JUST before she turned 16, like a few days before) both have kids but they didn't TRY to get pregnant. My niece has a job and is living with her boyfriend while my cousin is still in school, but going back and forth between living with her fiance (the baby's father) and with her mom, and is now modeling. Neither planned to get pregnant

I totally agree. My husband and I are 19 and I just had my baby 2 weeks ago.he has a really good job, and we have our own place. He's in college and I will go back when he's done, so we can alternate in taking care our baby while I'm in school. These girls didn't do anything right, I got married first and then later I became pregnant

Im 18 years old and expecting my first child in march. I am still a teen but i have my own apartment with my boyfriend and we both have great jobs. Teen Pregnancy is not bad as long as you can afford to take care of your child and not have to rely on your parents for everything. I do believe it is best to graduate high school before you get pregnant. These girls were very immature and their lives are going to be extremely difficult

@cassiiechaos1 Congratulations on the baby. The fact that you are still a teenager isn't really the issue here giving that fact that while you are a teenager, you are technically an adult. Plus, you have a place of you own to live in, you have a job, you have a dedicated boyfriend who also has a job, so you are prepared for this. You are responsible, unlike a lot of teenagers out there who do not have the FIRST CLUE what they are getting themselves into. Best of luck to your new family! : )

my mom got pregnant with me at 17, not on purpose but she doesnt regret having me but always makes sure I know not to do what she did because she said she wants me to be able to live my life first and have fun and be a teenager before having a family :)

Telling teens not to have sex is often time useless. Safe sex using condoms in conjunction with the RHYTHM METHOD is best. It's amazing how many don't know that you can only get pregnant a couple of days out of the month. Know your cycle and know the risks. Education before fornication!
