great movie. this movie made john holmes look like a bigshot. the dude basically helped his friends rob eddie nash and eddie nash did not even kill john holmes for what he did.
Loved the movie but someone tell Val Kilmer to stop singing. Please. Also Kate Bosworth needs to be silent as well. Was Gordon Lightfoot seriously OK with this? Its hard to believe he gave his blessing for this monstrosity.
Horrible rendition of a great song, I drove by the house the other day . I watched the movie years ago and now I have to watch the movie again because I'm not sure if it's the same house used in the movie. The street is very tight and cramped, all the streets up there are like that and the houses are very close to each other as well. I don't remember it being like that in the film, amazing how they had the balls to commit such a crime with neighbors being so close.
@mavris1..if you don't see that Val is one of the most talented actors of our genre you're an idiot..The Salton Sea, Spartan, Felon, Played, Moscow Zero, The Doors(where he played Morrison PERFECTLY), obviously Wonderland where Holmes ex says he was eerily similar, oh, and he's still the youngest to have ever graduated from Julliard...moron, his range is surreal
I personally loved this movie; granted it was very sad that it had all came down to this. I am and always have been a fan of Val Kilmer, Kate Bosworth, Lisa Kudrow, and Dylan McDermott. Dylan whose character was David Lind looks eerily like my husband. All the characters in this movie are either deceased or is still around. John Holmes; dead at age 43 of AIDS; Dawn Schiller God Bless her and Sharon Holmes are still alive and I am in contact with at least once a day. They both went thru HELL
Chuck Negron...The Iconic lead singer in the Band " Three Dog Night "....who had one of the Gnarliest heroin habits on the Planet.....Wsa supposed to be there the night of the Slaughter...Joy Miller..who was his friend and Dealer...was killed...
God Saved negron that night...and By his Grace.eventually got him Sober....in Aug. of 1991...He has gone on to Become a Legend in Recovery Circles in LA and around the world...He now spends his Time recording...and SAVING OTHER LIVES...God Bless u Chuck
If you've seen the DVD and listened to the commentary, the director informs us that John Holmes was such a lowlife that he pimped his girlfriend out once on Christmas eve, which was also her birthday.
@lorireece1 Yeah i listened to that commentary too. And what's really sad that at the end of the movie, the scene where Sharon was remembering when John had visited her the morning of the murders and he was in the tub, I remember the director sayin that he was re-educating himself and who's the first person a hustler hustles? He hustles himself. Which is quite sad. What a very sad life to lead. To this day though i still consider Wonderland to be one of my all time favorite films.
Wikipedia states - "David Clay Lind died of a heroin overdose in 1995. Rumours abound that Lind, in fact, is not dead and that his death was fabricated to accommodate his entry into the Witness Protection Program. While this theory has never been proven, it has some merit as his dual status as an Aryan Brotherhood member and frequent police informant would have put him in mortal danger."
This is a great example of turning a negative ( the murders ) into a positive. This was WONDERful way of celebrating the Wonderland murders and John Holmes. 3:03 says it all.
Well it is a wonderful piece of work on your part. I literally get chills multiple times every time I watch it. It totally works - you get across exactly what you intended to. I even posted it on Facebook.
I was hoping it was this song but this version sounds awful, I like the Gordon Lightfoot alot better.

Why dedicate a lovely song to lowlife scum like John Holmes?
As some have posted, the prick pimped his girlfriend out; finally she turned the fucker in to Fla. police.
