Firefly was truly one of the great TV shows. Cut down before its time because of FOX's meddling. Serenity was brilliant but still the show should have carried on instead. I'll always watch my Firefly DVDs with a sense of nostalgia. Pure TV gold. They don't make them like this anymore.

@Arylon It isn't that simple....fox didn't air the pilot and expected people to just jump in at "The Train Job" with NO backstory/universe info, introduction to the characters, honestly mainstreem audiences need that to get into the show. And THEN they hopped the show around randomly in the ratings. Serenity didn't do well at the box office because honestly, though I love that movie, the show doesn't take well to a two hour plot wrapping up film. Whedon's things need a season or two to work.

@snigglydorite if you look it up the uniforms of spaceship going Alliance troops are very much like the World war 1 German Imperial German Army uniforms. The ones from when they are on the ground look a hell of a lot like the ones in "starship troopers" but that is because they recycled em.

We all wish Fox had realized what it had, and I would have loved to have seen what it grew into, but I'm glad Wedon was able to make what he did at least. I think in many ways it was the most realistic look at the future (though thats arguable I guess). It obviously struck a cord with a lot of people, and I think this song and video are excellent tributes. Clear skies folks.
