The satellite data is fallible based on the exact positioning and atmospheric conditions. You can't calculate that innumerable amount of data of a projected over that time period. Another words there is flaws in the data. So they try a variable calculation, that isn't conclusive to climate change data from the Arctic temperatures. In the movie, note that Gore didn't superimpose the CO2 graph on the global temperature graph. He did this because it would show that the temp increased BEFORE the CO2 rose! Gore owns a company in England that is making billions from global warming. He's doing this for his own wallet, not because he cares about the earth. The scary thing is that many people DO believe in GW and DO believe Gore. I don't think you've looked at the data. Take Gore's CO2 versus temperature graphs and superimpose them on each other. You'll see that the temperature rose *BEFORE* the CO2 rose. Also, look at the energy output of the sun over the last 2000 years and you'll see that the temp of the earth tracks perfectly with the changes in the sun's output. Pollution is bad, dependence on oil is bad. Let's solve the right problems!
There is a lot of evidence that global climate change is in part due to solar output. Which makes a lot of sense considering that solar activity has been linked to past mini ice ages.
That and, well, most of our surface heat comes from the sun. Even a small change in output will obviously effect us.

The satellite data is fallible based on the exact positioning and atmospheric conditions. You can't calculate that innumerable amount of data of a projected over that time period. Another words there is flaws in the data. So they try a variable calculation, that isn't conclusive to climate change data from the Arctic temperatures. Net Solar Radiation has NOT INCREASED since 1975. There is excellent satellite data to prove it.
An 11 year solar cycle causes a 0.2C average oscillation every 5.5 years. However, with NO NET increase in solar radiation since 1975, arctic ice and mountain glaciers have lost 50% of their total mass.

In the movie, note that Gore didn't superimpose the CO2 graph on the global temperature graph. He did this because it would show that the temp increased BEFORE the CO2 rose! Gore owns a company in England that is making billions from global warming. He's doing this for his own wallet, not because he cares about the earth. There is nobody more damaging to the environmental movement than a liar like Gore. The real issue is pollution and dependence on foreign oil, not global warming.

The scary thing is that many people DO believe in GW and DO believe Gore. I don't think you've looked at the data. Take Gore's CO2 versus temperature graphs and superimpose them on each other. You'll see that the temperature rose *BEFORE* the CO2 rose. Also, look at the energy output of the sun over the last 2000 years and you'll see that the temp of the earth tracks perfectly with the changes in the sun's output. Pollution is bad, dependence on oil is bad. Let's solve the right problems!

There is a lot of evidence that global climate change is in part due to solar output. Which makes a lot of sense considering that solar activity has been linked to past mini ice ages.
That and, well, most of our surface heat comes from the sun. Even a small change in output will obviously effect us.

You can debunk global warming in about 20 seconds. Ask a global warmer what he or she thinks of nuclear power. You know, that energy source that is very cheap and abundant and which we already have the technology for. It also gives off NO carbon emmision. When they give their myriad reasons why we SHOULDN'T use nuclear, you'll have your proof that global warming is a scam. After all, if it's such an emergency, they'd be in favor of building more reactors.

even if the ice caps are melting the one over North America melted a long time ago from the ICE AGE. The ice caps have been melting...for millions of years, it is not due to Humans it is because we are coming out of the ice age, Al Gore just wants to sell his carbon credits

the fact that people emit CO2 doesn't change. and the amount of CO2 since the industrial revolution is ridiculous. the fact that animals are becoming extinct/endangered because of people doesn't change.
even if melting ice, global warming, climate change, etc. are natural cycles, (which partly is true) would be so bad to admit that humans may be a bit selfish and can change the way they live? i mean, it can only benefit the environment which in turn benefits us.

There is no good correlation between temperature and CO2 now or in history other than the opposit cause and effect, namely that temperature makes the CO2 concentration to change.
1997 was a record year of increased greenhouse gases in total, but the temperature plummed 0.6 degrees. The largest temperature change ever measured.

active volcanoes that errupted billions of years ago that spit ash, and carbon into the atmosphere for eons, that are now inactive, created far more air pollution then humans have in their entire existance, 10 fold. Every 200 years, the earth's axis moves closer to the sun, causing it to be hotter than average. Soon it'll begin to distance itself again, and it'll return back to the climate you grew up knowing. Perhaps not in your life time, but eventually.

We have axial tilt cucle of 41000 years and a ...axis wobble cycle of 23000 years. Severeal research reports have found a (probably resulting) 1500 year climate cycle. If this did not represent reality, it would be deceptive... all he sais is - it is this thick, and the mountains are that far away... what the hell. I don't see the problem there. It is very expansive to fly a camera crew to Antarctica to do that shot... plus you probably won't find a pilot to fly those maneuvers... that looks extremely dangerous.

The ice shelfs on different places don't look the same, and I'm quite sure that the sequence in the movie The Day After Tomorrow don't - as you say - EXACTLY shows the Antarctica peninsula, but rather show a virtual non existing place!
Why do you so eagerly claim so wrong things?
This is just one example which shows that Gore's ambitions isn't truth but propaganda.

An ice shelf the size of New York broke off Antarctica two weeks ago. Antarctica is there, and it is loosing mass rapidly.
All he took from the movie was a flyover that did in fact very closely represent what Antarctica looks like, and it was not even relevant, just a visual aid.
You can just google for pictures, it doesn't look all that different :)

What's the big deal? It costs a ton of money to fly all they way down to the Antarctic to film something like that. The company that was contracted to film the opening scene for The Day After Tomorrow probably filmed hours worth of similar footage and it is up for sale for anyone that wants or needs it. Where do you think documentaries get so much of their "stock" footage from? This is normal practice for crying out loud!

and yeah, i saw a couple parts that looked alike, but there was too much of the same scene (ice and water) to be able to tell if they were the same. It goes by too fast
