catholics have Jesus on the cross because the miracle of our salvation through him happened at his DEATH not resurection. of course catholics believe he rose though catholics could say protestants dont believe Jesus was cruxified if they intrepit it like you. calm down its just a symbol
WELL THIS IS THE TRUTH. FROM THE ORIGINAL KING JAMES VERSION for you real christians if you believe this is true please give me some thumbs up! (: Jesus isent on the cross any more he arose; UP FROM THE GRAVE HE AROSE! ever heard that song? the angel rolled the stone away and jesus body left along with his sprit,no body was found! the only thing that was left was his garments.
Wasn't that a "Resurrected Lord" cross behind the altar? Every chuch is suppose to have a "Crucufied Jesus" on the cross. This is suppose to be a "Catholic" Not "Protestant" church. We are to always contemplate His sufferings on the cross, it is a reminder of what our Lord did for love of us. And the modernists wish to diminish this, so they can become "unionized with Protestants. People, speak up!
the cross is just a symbol of the trials our lord suffered. its also a symbol of the trials we go through in this life.

@Sarahx04 King James, the expurged Bible? You must read the complete version, before being cut short by the protestants.
