Something about this movie is so fascinating! I'd never heard of it till recently. I enjoyed the hell of it while watching it the first time. Been watching it and parts of it for 3 days when not working. It's the meaning of brilliant, the writer/director and actors. I've never been so taken by a movie in my life!
Ralph Brown raised a valid point about how plot isnt necessarily the most important element of filmaking. Too many films these days focus on plot and exposition at the expense of character development
Sirgproductions: What words of wisdom from one so young. Could it be that your precociousness is based on an inordinate intellectual ability or could it be that you are a pretentious, opinionated little tit with ideas a very long way above your station - Director!.....hahahahaha
Well, David M Jordan, speaking of ideas a very long way above your station, perhaps you should give the high and mighty-pompous-wordsmith act a rest and (to quote our eponymous heroes) fuck off while you're at it.
It has long been self-evident that the majority of YouTubers exist on a level of 'this sucks' or 'this rocks' and that you are in favour of this state of affairs. signproductions started the abuse whilst my original offering was actually mild and thoughtful whilst talking about my personal experience. But if you insist, I'll bring it down to your level - YOU SUCK MOTHERFUCKER. gO AND SUCK SIGNPRODUCTIONS COCK.
Mr Jordan, I was never one for the simplified versions of approval that you so callously throw onto my Youtube persona, and yet it really makes me wonder if you are for the exact same reasons yourself? Perhaps you once were, but for now it has just become a bit of semantic jousting. Well have fun my dear, because you have a fucks sight more talent than some the "majority", as you say. I'll allow you that generalisation my friend, just don't lump ME in with those wankers.
pretentious? ME?! pot kettle very bloody black? my comment wasnt a vicious 1,it was fairly light-hearted,i was just illustrating the fact that i was offended that by your obvious facism towards my generation.if you're trying to sound intellectual by writing pompous shit in order to undermine/ confuse me then dont bother; im not stupid.Plus for such a bookworm you're not very good at reading- notice it says SIRG not SIGN 1 last thing-i made my account director so i could upload longer films fool
I thought this film was peculiarly British - only appealling to those of us that endured the squalor and the booze and drugs in the dog-end of the 60's. It's such an antithesis of psychedelic California sunshine that it's almost an anti-drug film. I see that I was wrong, though, looking at the reviewers here.
Superb dialogue-I keep laughing at things that aren't witty but immensely funny.
You're right in that the sensibility is particularly British but I think it's universal in appeal simply because the characters are so theatrically miserable and short-fused. Everyone who's ever had a bad day can in some way relate to the sheer anger and frustration on display here.
I love showing foreign friends seeing how they guage it. It does have very British sensibilities and references, but my German friend seemed to get it. He saw more of the sad, serious side of the film, but did laugh out loud in places.

Looks like Danny is now uptight, hair are your aerials. They pick up signals from the cosmos and transmit them directly into the brain.
