Well, why not...? The original wasn't in english, that's fine and dandy, but the translation came within a few years of the first performance! Like with most shows, it is in English, too, and if that bothers you, then don't click on the links with the English title of the song. :/
She's wonderful, but what a pity there isn't one of the whole aria!

An aria is the point in the opera where the plot stops and the main character sings about a deep emotion or situation. It is equal to a solo. :)

technically: a song from an opera. altho die fledermaus is classified as an operetta.

It's a solo (often flashy) that an opera singer sings in an opera.
