Zeromus was probably one of the toughest Final bosses in FF history. All other bosses I've fought I could defeat first try. But I had to freaking power level up to 52 until I could beat him with a party of Cecil, Palom, Porom, Yang, and Cid.

@Ninjaofsound WHAT!? how did u get them in the final fight besides Cecil? Unless you were playing the sequel The After Years but even there u can only fight (small Spoilers beyond this point) Zeromus's malice not zeromus himself. As an added note u fight him with Fusoya and Golbez, no one else. in any other case im confused as to which game you are talking about.

@LOGIK120777 ...You HAVE played and beat Final Fantasy IV, right? Golbez and FuSoYa fail to defeat Zemus and hands the Crystal of to Cecil. The other character's (the ones you didn't bring - in my case it was Rosa, Rydia, Edge, Kain, and Edward), as well as Tellah, the only character to actually die's prayers restore your party to full HP and MP. Use the Crystal and the battle's on!

As a long time fan of both Square and Enix, I'd have to somewhat agree with you. Square and Enix as two separate companies made some of the best games ever back in the day... Final Fantasy IV, VI, Chrono Trigger, Dragon Quest, and so on...

It's a shame you got so many thumbs down... I guess SquareEnix's fanbase is mostly made up of the neo-Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts/World Ends With You style...

Why is it the intro (0:00-0:47) to Zeromus's theme has such a different tone compared to the rest of the song?

Not that it matters as its still an epic song, it just seems odd that the song doesnt go back to a few parts of that intro so to me it seems a bit disconnected from the rest of the song, if that made any sense.

In the original song, there is a sequence of sounds that fade out. It is entirely possible to not include the entire portion not to fade out, but the rest of the song would have to be played in double tempo to just have 11 or so notes fade properly and include the rest of the music not to fade.

Absolutely beautiful. This was the one song I was -sort of half-assed- attempting to do and ended up not bothering. I was hoping someone else would do it. You did a brilliant job. There were a few parts I would've done a little differently, but damn if I don't love this. This is probably my favorite Final Fantasy song of all time and you did it justice! Thanks a lot!

What a difference just a little tweaking does to this one... flower extensions, geese, +40 beats to the tempo, and runs of planes - it's a relatively small change overall, but the 10% changed made it about 10x better. I always look forward to seeing a new one, as I know I'll like it, but I never know what part will be the one that turns it from "good" to "great" (example: the cats in OWA).

The flower fade extensions work well. I used them a little bit in my last video. Unfortunate though that you can't fade one instrument without fading the others for a given beat....
