  • thanks helped me alot

  • I really like your outfit in this :)

And thanks for this good idea :)

  • omggggggggg, i took these ugly flare khaki pants that i bought a while ago for school (we have to wear khaki/black pants) and even though i didnt use a sewing machine i made them into these extremely cute skinny pants!!!! omgggggggggggggggggggggg THANKYOU

  • i love you! =] thank you so much for this video

  • can u hand sew it?

  • Hey I just did this with your tutorial and let me tell ya! It was clear, and everything looks great! Thank you so much! <3

  • Thanks for sharing this. Methinks it's really useful and you looks really lovely. ^ ^

  • you are the best i love this tutorial

  • YOU ROCK! Thank you ! :D

  • are you self-taught, or was it parents or grandparents?

do i detect a slight accent in your voice?

if we do it by hand, does it have to be a zigzag stich in order to "hold"?

  • @UrTalkin2aGirlyGirl

I taught myself as well as took some lessons :)

Yes i do have a little accent i was born in Europe but my father is French Canadian so the English we speak is "tainted" :P

No i dont think so ,perhaps you could do the stiches closer together which would improve the strength. Good Luck!

  • hey do you know if i can do this with chinos too? :)

  • @pruin03 yes you can! But if your pants dont have a lot of stretch, do not make them too tight(skinny) or you may have trouble putting them on ;) Hope this helps and good luck!

  • Great video! :)

  • for some reason on some parts of the video you seem angry. o: but this method really is helpful! thank you!

  • 1:05 hheeee

  • Very helpful! :D Now I just need to ask my grandma if I can use her sewing machine :)

  • im so glad i found this video! Now i dont have to spend loads of money on new skinny jeans :D

  • i like this method, think i will do this at some point, very helpful thank you :)

  • @hotladie111 well you could always sew it by hand, using the same method i used in the video, than add some details to the side if the stitching shows or is uneven. You would have to make small stitches to make it strong. This is really the only way i can think of right now! i hope it helps

    xx

  • Genius!

  • when you say upside down you inside out right? lol

  • @supergalsuper yes thats what i mean :-)

  • how do you make your video play faster? I can't do this on my videos and I can't upload them...

  • i dont gots a sewing machine D=

  • Quick question, is this time consuming?

  • no not really, it took me perhaps half an hour; it should definitely not take longer than an hour.:)

  • @diyfashionwithsofia

thank you so much. I'm a guy and I have one of these pairs of skinny jeans that are like absolutley perfect. So I'm going to try this out. And also, when finished, does the altared jeans look like the ones used for the model?

  • well if you transfer the "outline" of your skinny jeans, as close as possible, onto the other pair than yes they should look like them. You could try sewing them by hand first or with a large stitch on your machine and try them on making adjustments, if neccesary! I hope it works out well for you!

  • @diyfashionwithsofia

Thank you so much! You're helping me get rid of a whole closet of ugly baggy pants.

  • Awesome video. Thanks for share it =D

  • you should sew them from the inside seam, so it won't show. duh.

  • Lol at the beginning when you were saying the list of materials, you said "thread" but I thought you said "bread" haha. honestly not asking to be rude, but do you actually wear skinnies? You seem like the girls who wear skirts and dresses! :) cool vid by the way!

  • Yeah i do often wear skirts and dresses but i do love a pair of comfy skinnies:-) And thanks!

  • not upside down > but inside out :P
