This is probably the most frighting ride/chair lift have ever been on .

If you think 'stealth' at Thorpe park is scary , times it by 10 !!

Chairs swing in the wind, feels like you could slid out under the safety bar that has no lock and its very very high!!!! GREAT FUN !

I work at The Needles Park and it's a great place to visit. Most people come mainly for the World famous coloured sands and the fantastic views from the chairlift. It's worth a visit.

Its not actually a 'ride'. It is actually there so you can get down to the beach. Otherwise you have to go down some steep steps down the cliff.

I went on this yesterday and had to close my eyes all the way down (and back up) but then again I do suffer from vertigo! It was a beautiful day and Alum Bay is a fascinating place on a par with Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door and Charmouth.

BS. I used to service this chairlift and the chair hangers are designed so that they can never reach the towers. The nearest you can get is apx 3ft before the hanger engages with the wheel plate PREVENTING the chair from getting anywhere near the tower. Some people........

bloody hell my stomach was churning just watching that - my family used to take us to the IOW every summer to the caravan park at Shanklin, to get down to this part used to be a lovely cliff walk with steps cut into the hill with little wooden supports - you would so NOT get me on this contraption...

lol trust me going up is as scarey as going down especially wen its windy if you ur good at snowboarding then u'll know chair lifts that go to the top of the mountain are always freaking scarey becus the wind is always so strong and shakes the lift back... and forth...
