your Japanese is good. How long have you studied for? I've bee taking it for about 2 years now (plus a few months in Tokyo) ad i get discouraged a lot about continuing with it

anyway - i've studied for about 4 years. just graduated from ucla last week actually, hehe. i was a japanese major there, and lived 2 months in kyoto last summer.
don't get discouraged! i know the feeling, and struggle myself. but there's definitely plateaus, you know? you'll be there for a while, and then you'll connect more dots and take off again. don't give up - just keep at it. i'll do my best too
oh cool, thats when i was in tokyo--I saw Eastern Youth at Shibuya! and was the only gaikokukjin there. I took the shinkansen to kyoto for a day. it seems like a cool place, but not as much going on for my taste as in Tokyo.

yeah haha. ive been a real EY mood lately.
