  • Maybe they support those causes because they think about them, they have enough education to evaluate and follow some ideas; to say that they only want to be "good jews" is idiotic, to say the least. The democrats feared losing the vote of the jews? That's new to me. I thought that the Democrats didn't fear anything at that point; we were coming out of one of the worst decades in history, the decade of Bush. People who voted for Bush wanted to be "good americans" to the point of blindness.

  • There were jews on the old right like Judah P. Benjamin and he stayed jewish or Benjamin Disraeli though he probably converted.

  • It is to bad the neocons are terrible on immigration. They love amensty and mass immigration it seems all too often. I'm Jewish my self. Immigration is the issue. Get out of these exspensive useless wars and stop importing the third world.

  • Leftists AREN'T Liberal. Conservatives and Libertarians are closest to the school of Classical Liberalism. The Left has merely co-opted the term, but what they actually mean is liberal Government, i.e, government should be free to do as it wishes to us - it does not refer to freedom of individuals. The political context is not the dictionary definition like so many have been duped into believing. Conservative refers to conservative [limited] gov't, and therefore more liberty for the individual.

  • The cops aren't after criminals--they're after you.

  • Roger Simon is a simpleton.

  • Plan and simple, the left is for the redistribution of wealth and the advancement of minorities, all at the cost of the majority. Communism has Jewish roots and preaches that everybody is equal (regardless of whatever logistics may dispute it). Jews have always been minorities so of course they're going to be for every other minority as well, no matter what the cost, because we're all equal. Despite the fact that it's going to take LOTS of convincing and it hasn't been proven, we're all equal!

  • People from the far left tend to fabricate propaganda in order to raise awareness of their goals. People from the far right tend to ignore the world around them because it can not help them to achieve their goals

  • This man is an idiot "those who supported jewish rights were on the left"?

Hitler-socialist, Stalin-Socialist, who the fuck is he talking about, the left despised the jews and used them with same race baiting tactics they used on everyone,

Norman your people are incompotent fools you keep voting for the same jackass who hate them and wish the ill. Obama is not a friend to your people, bush was and mccain would have been.

  • He's talking about Jews in America and the civil rights movement. These all post-date Hitler and Stalin. The whole point is that the GOP is looking out for the interest of Israel

  • Left and right didn't mean the same thing in the 1930s as it does in the year 2009. Hitler was considered to be on the right because he was anti-democracy, despite the fact that his economic policies tended to fall more on the left.

  • absolutely, many people argue that the nazi regime pertained to centrist politics

  • @smiledammit24 Even today there is a huge difference of what we germans or other europeans consider as right and left than americans do.

Here we usually consider national socialism on the far right as the opposite of comunism on the far left.

I think that is the reason why a lot of europeans have a problem with the american right.

  • @MTS0815 It's odd that you believe National Socialism is the polar opposite of Communism. Socialism of any kind is merely the precursor to Communism. The opposite of a massive state is no gov't, or anarchy. No gov't [or a theocracy run by theists] is far right. All centralized gov't is Leftist. A radical Islamic State would be an example of a far right regime, whilst Cuba, North Korea, are far Left. Nazis & Commies were similar regimes in competition for centralized control - not opposites.

  • (reply to wargrom) The only socialist policies that Nazism and Stalinism had were only some of their economic policies. Systematically elimating opponents who try to emancipate against state opression is generally called fascism. The most recent example of this was the elimination of the Tamil rebels in Sri Lanka.

  • By the way, as a Jewish woman, let me undo that 100% statistic--I am wholeheartedly AGAINST abortion.

  • Count me down as a proud Jewish conservative. There are more and more of us every day. Shame on the Jews who voted for Obama. What a kneejerk liberal reaction that was! How could anyone not know what a mess Obama would be--just look at his history! Too painful for many ol' Jewish libs to come to terms with, I guess.

  • Evan Sayet explains it better and more interesting.

  • Obama is a fabricated candidate. Not one politician coming from relative anonymity has managed in USA history to secure a 6 book deal in its first year of his first term way before accomplishing anything in congress. That was the dead giveaway for me that Obama was chosen as the next president way before the primaries and even before his announcement.

About Podhoretz, type in Youtube search "The Lunacy of Norman Podhoretz" by the Southern Avenger

  • "A 6 book deal" ? Gee, I wonder who is going to write his next "auto-biography"? Ayers is grumpy about not getting any royalties on the last one.

  • actually the nazis have a lot more in common with liberals. they were anti religion, they had a vegetarian movement, and they disarmed the populace.

  • The Nazis used religion to gather support for their cause. Hitler even sayed he was doing Christ's work to kill the Jews.

  • Those are serious and evry hateful accusations.

    Show us proof.

  • they tried to use religion against those who believed and they thought useful but they were indeed atheistic.

  • Hitler did not believe in Christianity

  • Hitler burned Bibles and Torahs and murdered and imprisoned millions of Protestant and Catholic Christians. The extent of his so-called "religion" was merely using a few words to sway some people to believe he was something he was not. Just as Saddam Hussein suddenly became a Muslim when he took power. He was never a devote Muslim until he suddenly needed to use it for power.

  • @EffieReal Exactly. Hitler was neither Christian, nor Atheist. He was a Pagan; a combo of Norse & Roman mythology & State worship. Hitler's mother was Catholic, but that's part of why he hated Christianity; He felt it ruined his mother's life. Hitler, like most politicians, refer to God initially to garner favor with a largely devout public. Once in power he banned Judaism & Christianity. If you view Nazi parades on YouTube, they are wholly Pagan - almost ancient Greco-Roman in appearance.

  • @acerusso actually the nazis have a lot more in common with UPS too, because they both wear brown uniforms ;-)

  • I have to agree with acerusso on this one. Liberals are for a larger government, and so were the nazis. The liberals are for gun control, the nazis disarmed the populace. There are numerous comparisons that can be made between the nazi movement and the liberal movement. I'm just saying. But hey if you think the nazis were conservative then by all means continue to think so.

  • As I recall, the Nazis didn't disarm the populace but only the Jews and the undesirable. Still, it's gun control but only to a smaller group of people. Reminds me of how blacks weren't allowed to own gun after the Civil War. They became easy targets for lynch mobs, unfortunately.

  • The population was indeed disarmed

  • Liberalism appeals to people who see themselves as victims. Most true liberals I know are "damaged goods". They are usually not functioning very well (see Hollywood).

Older Jews often see themselves as victims. Sometimes they have been. Younger Jews (under 30) are starting to realize that they are more attracted to conservative values of freedom and liberty.

Jews should remember the last false messiah that dealt with them, Adolf Hitler. He was heralded as the great hope of the German people.

  • Good post. You should read Tammy Bruce's 'The Death of Right and Wrong.'

It explains in detail what you just said.

  • Not a very constructive opinion on politics or religion.

  • ALL CRITISM AGAINST ISRAEL AND JEWS ARE ANTISEMITISM!!! IEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEH!

((insert sarcasm, sadly AIPAC fully support this statement))

  • And are you conservatives trying to alianate Jews? Let me know so I will leave the party, quite frankly Im starting to feel "the love again" from just about every side of the isle. Libs hate us, dems dont like us, now conservatives are trying to alianate us.

  • smuils: First off it's "alienate".

I'm a Conservative and frankly your nationality don't mean squat to me. Blunt truth. Nationality only matters to those who want it to.

And really there are only two parties. Liberal and Conservative. Easy to work that way.

  • Not trying to alienate. Me personally, I would like to try to understand why Jews are more likely to be liberal as I understand why any people following a Judeo-Christian religion would be liberal. Or anybody, for that matter.

  • Jaimetud 77 percent of Jews did not vote for Obama, I looked up this statistic just now, btw I am a proud Jew, and I set out this election all together. Im not sure where the author is getting the numbers from, I would need to examine his statistics closer, I find it very hard to believe that we have voted democrat in such owerwhelimng nnumbers, and when the guy said that Jewish women are 100% pro abortion,I knew something is wrong here, our community believes in family and abortion isnt praised

  • Well then, that's a good thing you responded to this video. I was always under that impression since all but one of the many Jewish people I've met in my life seem to vote Liberal, but then again maybe that's just me living in Marin County.

  • Jaimetud Oh you poor guy , you live in Bay area Marin county? Although I guess Iam just as surrounded living in San Fran and all :P

  • And yeah, I doubt that %100 of Jewish women are pro-abortion. Strangely, there are women I've met at my old church who are strongly against abortion vocally and yet still same to vote for the same people who keep supporting abortions and make them more available.

  • I agree... I do not know why they try to categorize by religion or group when the current opposition to the Admin should cross all lines and include liberals be they Jewish or not.

I know liberal AND conservative Jews. I find this video to be more destructive than anything else.

  • 77 percent of Jews did not vote for Obama, I looked up this statistic just now, btw I am a proud Jew, and I set out this election all together. Now lets ask another question why do blacks vote democrat? Say 100%? Would that be fair? 100% of Jewish women are pro abortion , where did he get that stupid statistic?

  • interesting vid...i'm of jewish decent but i'm mormon...still fun stuff! it makes a lot of sense

  • "Buyers Remorse" to say the least. Like the Kennedy revelation -very nice. Jews are liberals, who would have thunk it.

  • AWESOME!!! I will buy this book, read it, and pass it on to my other chosen brothers
