Also could you possibly if you have time make a tutorial on how to make illuminating effects from angles of 3D images to effect that to which concord to 2D. A example is such as transparency of a set image above another to which is only partial on one end yet full on another to create a double set effect so when rotating it creates a blur effect to which is on one side and another. Hard to explain.. >.< I did it with my pyramids on my new character to which I would like to show you.
I never heard of Lightwave before and must thank you for bringing it up in your video. I normally used Sculptris, Blender, and a few others to make 3D effects. But thanks to your tutorial showing lightwave I was actually able to finish a new character I was working on that is completely 3D. I was having a difficult problem with making a transparency with my pyramids. As to which seeing at it through angles in 2D waves from 3D to look correctly. Lightwave actually fixed that issue for me. Thanks!
You neglected to mention actually using the 3d aspect of a 3d program to add other effects, such as spinning the model or the camera while rendering the effect.
@edtioncherry I did show the two designs at the beginning of the tutorial spinning in 3d. But the idea is implied anyway of how 3d programs can be utilised. To be honest, if I could show all the stuff that can be done in 3d for the effects, it would be a really long video. I already spent more than enough time on the tutorial itself. As long as the idea gets across.
@MixMashCom I copy and pasted that message to Revento at mugenfightersguild, someone responded to my message saying you did at the beginning, now I copy and past my message from there:
pfft barely :P. I'm talking more about depth, and less about angle.
Like..instead or rotating it from like one angle, you add the third dimension into the animation, example: an arrow on a sphere then rotate the sphere so the arrow goes around instead of just in a completely visible circle. You know what I mean.
Sure, that video would definitely help someone that never thought about it before, but I just think it misses some more effects that would just entertain me more (not that I didn't like the video).
@edtioncherry Look, feel free to make your own tutorial as a sequel to my tutorial that extends on the topic. I encourage you to do this because, from what Revanto told me, there aren't many tutorials about creating the graphics for 2d games specifically in the Mugen Guild forums. I don't intend to push the subject more so if you add your own tutorial, it would be a great addition. So, if you plan to make your own tutorial adding to this, Good Luck!
