  • holy shit, i can't believe a more boring hobby than stamp collecting!

  • how do u get them so clean?

  • @SnIpErSnIpEd It takes a lot of elbow grease and sometimes oxalic acid.

  • i found a hemingray no 12 swimming in a creek i had no idea what it was until about 10 mins ago could any1 tell me what its worth

  • Dear nicole culver, do you know a source of information about the surface requirements of a glass insulator?

I am wondering if there are some surface properties that manufacturers would like to improve. there is surprisingly little information about the subject of "ideal surface properties of glass insulators"

I will appreciate your help thanks.

  • My collection of glass insulators, I can proudly say, amounts to a total of 1000, with colors ranging from aqua, purple and blue. And I'm only 18. The old telegraph lines on the tracks are like a treasure chest to me, and throughout the years, it sadens me deeply to see many of those old line to be torn out.

  • This is the video that started it all

  • i love glass insulators, they look so much better than porcelain.

  • i cant wait to see when i can finally even film the video let alone put it on the computer...hey you know what i think i will try to film it tonight

  • wow nice colection my colection has many commons but i do have some stars, suspensions,a micky (love those),whell some others i well soon be posting a video of my colection

i like how the insulators on the floor dont stop and start after the stacker they just keep going

  • Thanks for the comment. I would like to see your collection, let me know when you post your video.

  • WOW is that seriously a Green Chicago? Awesome collection. How many do you have? My collection is approaching 2000 lmfao

  • The best green Chicago CD135 I have seen is at the Merrit Insulator Ranch in BC Canada, but there is one that is very green in the collection and it was very hard to get. Thanks for watching the video.

  • nice hemingrays!

  • Thanks, check out the newest insulators in the new up load.

  • whats the name of the very first light green one at 1:38?

  • The first one from the left is a Brookfield beehive then the next one is a H G CO Petticoat signal then a Brookfield 162.1 signal than a Star pony and last on the right is a Whitall Tatum No. 1 check out Glass Insulators #2 for the newest update of the collection.

  • ICON (Insulator Collectors on the Net has insulators for sale on the for sale lists. And finding them along Railroad telegraph lines or old telephone lines is where some came from.

  • where did you get those?

  • If you go to ICON (Insulator Collectos on the Net) they has a for sale list, or e-bay or find them on the ground along railroad telegraph lines.

  • Holy geez dude, got enough 135's? What kind of music are we listening to here? Not a bad collection.

  • Thanks for the comment, I like the cobalt blue Hemi it's nice. The Wood collection had a lot of great insulators, and you have great videos of those train ride shots. The music is just some random kid stuff.

  • WOW! Awesome Chicagos! You sure have a nice looking collection!

  • The collection has grown some and I'll have to post an updated video soon thanks for the comment.
