To me this is the definitive recording of this aria and of Norma.. all the nuances are so lovely musically, the whole aria becomes so interesting in her hands. How many other singers observe the decrescendos and crescendos... not to mention sing each and every note the way the composer wanted it, with the correct y rhythmic value?
