I like both bands, but Oasis is like a The Beatles s tribute band for me, Blur represented better what is Brit Pop. And Damon IS GORGEOUS, and Liam,... he is not my kind of man, Damon too, but Damon, definitely is gorgeous.

In my opinion Blur's great songs are outnumbered by ones that are just plain dull where as I find Oasis to be in your face and up for it it nearly every song and Liam's (1994-2000) voice beautiful. Show me song's where the beatles have been blatantly ripped off, everybody gets inspiration from some where and i's inevitable that your music will be influenced by the music you listen to. Blur's music shows the band have put their brain and heart into their music. I think Blur is much more introspective and sharper than they appear to be, both lyrically and musically. Also, their music has tremendously and beautifully progressed.
My suggestion is, If you want to impress a girl, sing an Oasis song. If you want to connect with yourself, Blur is the choice. No way Oasis can come up with timeless tunes of equal quality - like Coffee & TV, End of the Century or the Universal.

Meh, anyone with a decent taste in music which goes beyond the shit that Oasis wrote would know that Blur were better. Oasis' lyrics were meaningless, Liam's voice was whiny as Hell and Liam and Noel were a couple of bell ends. Blur were far superior, looking back on it it is so clear really.

Oasis has slightly better music in my viev, but members of Blur are much less selfish and arrogant guys than Gallagher brothers. That's why we have now Fool's Day from Blur but nothing from Oasis, which is now only a mark in a britpop history. A beautful and unforgivable mark, but unfortunaltely, nothing more.

Blur's music shows the band have put their brain and heart into their music. I think Blur is much more introspective and sharper than they appear to be, both lyrically and musically. Also, their music has tremendously and beautifully progressed.
My suggestion is, If you want to impress a girl, sing an Oasis song. If you want to connect with yourself, Blur is the choice. No way Oasis can come up with timeless tunes of equal quality - like Coffee & TV, End of the Century or the Universal.
