It is really commendable job wat Mr Wood is doing. The organisation is soon coming to our college for campus placement.........................yippeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
I read the book - it's inspiring, and John Wood is an awesome human being. Been to Nepal as well - of all my travels, I have to say, the Nepalese are the kindest people I've ever met : )
this is a fantastic book with a great story! it can inspire you to put your humanity at work and try to help, even if it's in a small way, even if it's only in your local comunity
I tried to start a small project before, doing a few stand up gigs, talking about third world countries at the same time. The donations were summed up to about 10 000 Swedish kronor - which is about 1500$. It might not have been that much, but it felt as if it was. I talked to a lot of nice people after the show, and it inspired me to move on.
I think it's great that you sat down and wrote something that'll inspire others to try and do what you did. Fantastic!
Great book, great story. Room to Read is doing amazing work!

yes, I just came back from the Himalayas, where over 60% of the children are still illiterate, most of them live on the street...
Keep the great job, John!
