  • I read the book - it's inspiring, and John Wood is an awesome human being. Been to Nepal as well - of all my travels, I have to say, the Nepalese are the kindest people I've ever met : )

  • I am proud to be a Nepali.

  • yes, I just came back from the Himalayas, where over 60% of the children are still illiterate, most of them live on the street...

    Keep the great job, John!

  • Motivating.Glorious.

  • this is a fantastic book with a great story! it can inspire you to put your humanity at work and try to help, even if it's in a small way, even if it's only in your local comunity

  • That's fantastic!

I tried to start a small project before, doing a few stand up gigs, talking about third world countries at the same time. The donations were summed up to about 10 000 Swedish kronor - which is about 1500$. It might not have been that much, but it felt as if it was. I talked to a lot of nice people after the show, and it inspired me to move on.

I think it's great that you sat down and wrote something that'll inspire others to try and do what you did. Fantastic!

  • Makes sense to me

  • I adrmire what room to read is doing in Nepal. I am from nepal and would like to help someday
