regarding your guitar, each note should be the same everywhere you try to play it, no matter which fret.

HI regargig your guitar. It may just be out of intonation. See if all the Es agree 0 12 fret 7th ect and harmonics. I'll bet it will sound better when tuned if you get it intoned.

Hey this an adult playing not some kid who thinks he's IT on Youtube. Show him some respect he went through the effort to at least post the tabs but with that besides the fact that you are slating his video ? if you don't think it's a very good performance give him constructive critizism and tell him what he can do to improve it, and if you have no constructive ideas for him then you're in no position to critisize his playing.

At some points in your tab I don't see why you did what you did, it looks like your bass notes are just on the wrong string. I don't really get your fancy G chord with a D sharp making it NOT the blue note and instead an extremely dissonant sharp 5. Could be cool but and you have some cool voicings like the Maj 7 add on the F chord (4th bar) and the modulation to relative minor with the E7 was a cool choice but dude overall well wishes to your guitar playing

Normally I wouldn't say anything, but since you keep defending yourself with nonsense about tuners and blue notes and whatnot -- which don't belong in music like this -- I gotta say, this is just terrible. Your guitar is not close to being in tune, and your playing is just downright bad.

You're doing really well, but the tuning is a little off. Either that or you need to correct your intonation. Remember that just using an electric tuner isn't enough. Each individual string can register on pitch and they still can sound out when played together. It's an art as well as a science.

The guitar is tuned to concert pitch EADGBE with a Korg TM 40 electronic tuner.

Because I come from a blues background I deliberately slur (stretch) notes that are sustained to give a slightly dissonant blue note effect.

This is especially noticeable at 0.33 and 1.54 and might be what you are getting at.

The arrangement maybe terrible ,my playing might be awful and I may need to repair my technique ,but the guitar is NOT out of tune

If you say it's tuned with a tuner than I won't doubt about that but for sure the song doesn't sound in tune. Off course string bending raises the pitch, that's ok and that's not the problem over here.

Try to stay true to the intended notes in proper tuning and it'll sound much better.

Sandra,  Actually try the first verse , its just melody off the basic chords ,and with a bit of practice should be manageable , the second half ie 0.50 onwards is a lot harder

Actually its my own arrangement --

Out of the seemingly endless versions on Youtube I couldn't see that anyone else has tried to play a Chord/ Melody style so I thought I would give it a go.

Whether the outcome is good or bad is for others to judge. But so far not much interest.
