  • Does Staedtler even made lead for those? Cause I can't find it in their website.

  • @andresisthename Yes. A search on ebay for "Staedtler 1.3mm" came up with a few options.

  • @andresisthename I just found it, they say they do, ranging from 2b-3h which is not bad, I wish they would go all the way to 4b on the soft end and 6h on the hard end, but still it's not bad at all the range they have.

  • I have ittt

  • I like when u said its fun too when u twist it lol :D

  • so can u get this at office stores

  • How does this pencil compare to the Sharpie Liquid Pencil?

  • DONT molest lead pencils !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • No offence, but your writing sucks.

  • @echild100 Yes, the pencil will not improve one's handwriting.

  • @ToolRank I just bought my Staedtler 771 today! I am an artist and I just love the feel of it.. It just glides over the paper.... However in Australia I paid $15.45 just for the pen... The refills cost $4.00 Very expensive compared to US$10 for the 4 pack!!

  • There is no way that lead would hold up to what I do with carpenter pencils. Same story with the eraser. Boo.

  • @splugen I didn't make this clear in the video, but I am a finish carpenter. This is not a pencil for framers. I have updated the description to include a link to my original carpenters pencil article that gives the full story.

  • @ToolRank Ok, fair enough, but what makes this pencil better for finish carpentry than, say, any other mechanical pencil you can get at any Mega Mart, particularly now that the thicker .9 mm lead is becoming more common?

  • @splugen Well, I wouldn't say that it is better. I just use it for different tasks. For accurate marks I still use a cheap .7mm Bic pencil. The Steadtler I use more for layout. because it still leaves a thinner line then a carpenters pencil (unless sharpened often), but it is strong enough not to break on every little bump like a .7mm would. I carry both pencils with me on the jobsite and use them evenly.
