@tweety9102 She was - believe me - she was!!! Labor and delivery are PAINFUL! (feels like trying to push out a football - I have first-hand knowledge! There wasn't the epidurals back then. Now, natural, no pain- meds births are rare!

@Kiniest this is kind of a rude comment. my cat had kittens 5 days ago, and we tried to keep her in while she was in heat(you can't get them spayed while they're in heat), but she snuck out the door. and we had a spay appointment the next week, but the vet said it wouldn't be safe to operate. sometimes accidents happen.

If I was a cat owner I can't say I would neuter my cats, I think I would end up breeding kittens because I love kittens, there so cute, there so tiny and I love their little meows. I would either spay the cat at first opportunity and she never have kittens or if she had kittens she would become a breeder, at least if you spay her as a virgin she never misses what she never had, it's kinder that way.

@Penguindog55 Go to your local Gassing or Heartstick shelter and watch the millions of homeless and unwanted kittens and cats get put to sleep today and then come back and comment. It is kinder to spay and neuter.

@firerong97 labor and giving birth HURTS!!! Human moms in labor can get an epidural but I'm not sure if a cat or dog can be given any pain meds. When I heard her cry out it was like I felt the pain too!

Oh the poor mommy cat - I hope you will be getting her speyed now that she has had kittens - and please don't let the vet talk you into getting her "declawed at the same time" - which is what a lot of vets do and it's akin to torturing the cat. Is the mother and her kittens OK?

Oh my! I totally agree. This time of year it is difficult to keep track of the animals at the dump because they are not feral, but are too shy to approach. We use a live trap to trap and we trap for the purpose of spaying and neutering. All of the kittens will be spayed and neutered and the mom will be spayed when she is ready. Anyway, I totally agree with you on this. I'm pretty sure the vet we use would be the one trying to say NOT to declaw. We have a good vet for cats. long drive though

guys when they come out feet first you need to help the cat. when its head first its ok. some times you need to help clean the new borns off cause the mother cant do it sometime cause they may be comeing out to fast. and in the bubble they can not breath once out.
