Please do the bike a favour. When you kill the engine just after giving the throttle a blip like that, all of the unburned fuel left in the combustion chamber washes all the oil off the cylinder walls. Next time you start the engine the piston rings act like chisels on the cylinder walls without any oil to protect them. Please become the first motorcycle journalist to switch off the engine properly. Then all the others will look like plonkers, but not you. Thanks.

I agree. What does this fool know about bikes and leathers anyway. I am still debating on paying for a Dainese of a BKS suit and I think this wally put me off (purely for the fact if he likes it then it must be naff...)
