  • racist misleading BS. i bet the author is this crappy video is in the kkk.

  • @samjs721 Nope, NO Northern European ancestry and NOT Protestant so NO KKK. Just a real Latino from Latin America NOT like hood rats from the USA who are mad that most people in Latin America aren't Black or indigenous.

  • @NativeMediterranean

lol i dare you to walk into peru or bolivia and try to say that they consist of most whites. in el salvador they are indigenous not white. these models you show are rare in latin america lolololol! "latin america" is not white. they have european blood but thats it. most of them look more like native americans than white europeans. im just sayin..

  • @NativeMediterranean dude why do you guys call yourselves Latinos do you know that Latin is a language and also there no Roman buildings there. If you disagree i can tell you a lot more.

  • all mi pueblo are latino (negro, blanco, indio, mestizo) LATINOS POR LA VIDA !!

  • ok but why does Italians reject these people as being latin.

  • Why can't we see that when we bleed we bleed the same....i can't get it right.

  • uh no mixed folks are the majority ie people mixed of both the americans(original people like aztecs, mayans, etc) and asian(chinese, japanese, etc)why well since both the asians and early americans both originate from the mongoloid thats why basically mongoloids make the majority(including mixed with Caucasoid and or Congoid)

  • cuba is 63 % caucasian not including miami

  • @miche4949

    Bullshit!...:D

  • One half of the pupulation in Latin America are white, were talking about 250 million of people. The US has 308 million people. I'm a white Latino because my ancesters are Basques and Spaniards, My great grand father come from the Basque country then he imigrated to Guatemala.

  • Nice collection of cave queens you still have dog hair & flat butts!

  • @samir3323 Better to be a dog then a monkey like you. I guess you need that huge monkey nose to be able to breathe in the projects. Why do you need that monkey hair though? That can't keep you warm in the ghetto.

  • @samir3323 latin white people have round butts.....

  • Latin America-Predominantly Native, but it depends on the country.

  • @towergunner Bolivia is the ONLY country in Latin America that is majority native.

  • Bullsit, white mexicans are like 1% of their population, maybe even less.Arab mexicans who derive from the moors who conquered Spain are like 8 to 10%,open a book on demography and history you dummy.

  • Its true, not all Latin American countries are predominantly native and of color. However the only ones are Argentina,Chile, and Uruguay, and that's about it.

  • Who ever made this video is stupid or in denial. You can't fuck with stereotypes, they're all true, like if you go,''asians are bad at math or blacks are bad at hoops'',it will never work.Does it mean that all asians are good at math and blacks are good at hoops,NO!Does it mean that disproportionate number of them are,YES!Otherwise it woulden't stick, sterotypes only stick if they're true, how else would they stick?Use your brain.

  • Spic rednecks....lolol

  • Over 70% of Brazilians are of African decent. Even the ones that call themselves white know that. Don't let the physical appearance fool you.

  • @rideau01 no brazillians are latin decent.....african wish and dream...

  • @polychronio - Most Brazilians are of European descent. Latin is not a race

  • @DaBigSun latin is not a race.... latin is a tribe. like german, slavic, berber, celtic, han, Zhuang, man, miao, yugur, turk, arab, Dravidian etc......

  • Comment removed

  • Over 70% of Brazilians are of African ancestry.

  • u cannot say that the truth are the high and huge buildings of the biggest latin cities. Where u can see the really truth of a country is in the other cities, towns and villages of he country, not only in the capital or in the largest city. The truth is, for example, behind the skyscrapers of Lima: pooring neighborhoods like El Agustino, Comas, San Juan de Lurgancho, Villa Maria del Triunfo o Villa El Salvador where people lives among the poverty, drug adiction and hunger...THAT'S THE TRUTH

  • well it is like this son imigration turns the world N.America in another generation or two at most all whites there will be abolished the amount of migrants from C.America will take over and the % will be Spanish remember this so as your kids can start adapting besides being born in a country does not make you but a citizen. it is your origin so if ur parents are N.African ur black n citizen of that country ORIGIN ANCESTRY this is what makes your race not where your born

  • haha i love youre replies to comments on you video. is funny how people just cant picture south america being mostly white, whiter than the US and canada really emmbarasing acually, in the area i live at in canada its almost half native american so much for being a white country.

  • stupids americans, so ignorant and proud. they called themselves sofisticated but think all latin people speak spanish, think all latins are brunnet or black. they call their country a continent when america is one continent from north to south and all people who live in it are the real americans.... latin is not a race, latin is a cultural identity.

it just shows the culture poberty of a decadent society.

  • @LaChicaLesbianaxxx :Whites do not constitute a minority in countries like Argentina, Uruguay and Costa Rica or Brasil which whites make the majority. And countries like Chile and Paraguay whites make almost half.

  • if your a person with latin american background(no matter the color of skin)and have asian characteristics such as eyes(dont mean to sound racist). thumbs up

  • actually no this video is wrong THE TRUTH IS THE MAJORITY IN LATIN AMERICA ARE OF ASIAN DESCENT clearly this italian zionist republican doesnt know history.anyone who has ever seen a so called latino or what ever you want to call us will see asian characteristics in that person even native americans in usa have these characteristics thats why anyone who looks back on history will learn that we all came from africa but the early peoples who came to the americas where from asian regions

  • Comment removed

  • @cooks1234 :It is true that the natives came from Asia but at the same time there are about 38% of all Latin America who are just whites followed by all different combos of mixes. True native Americans are a small minority in Latin America.

  • @2010XYZ1000 i think you kind of mis understood what i was saying.bascally what i was saying is that the majority of latin americans are not euro white(look) like for example Björn Ulvaeus or vladimir putin (yes i know they arent latin).they are asian descent(not through parents but from heritage from early peoples)no matter the color of the skin(mixed) like for example Aimee Garcia,Garcelle Beauvais different color of skin but both have the asian characteristics.

  • @2010XYZ1000 also im not saying that theres something wrong with being white.im just telling the facts.i mean true most la americans have light sking but its different tones.the majority dont look euro they have the asian charecteristic.oh yeah also i wasnt talking about the natives cause yeah they are the few in some areas.even this video proves my point the costa rica and bolivian chicks are other examples :)

  • @TwinBullet Brazil has the largest African population in the Americas... by the way, what do you mean by "White"??A mulatto is white for you??

  • @Khaagon :53% of Brasil are whites. Also if you go to brasil and call the mestizos black they will be upset. Blacks make up about 6% and the rest are a combo of heritages. It is racist to call a mixed black and white person just black. You cannot simply erase their white heritage like it never existed. The DNA results don't lie, only racist do it, originated from the slave owners who wanted to eliminate any white heritage from a mixed person. In Brasil mixed people do not have that hatred

  • Bullshit. Where are the 10's of millions of Native Americans? And why did you only post white people, who most DEFINITELY constitute a VERY small percentage of Latin America? What a dumb video.

  • @drki11joy123 Argentina is 97% white, Brazil is 53% White, etc. The country's with white populations have extremely large populations. Even Mexico is 15% White a country with a large mestizo majority. The ONLY country in Latin America with a native majority is Bolivia. I guess it's hard to be educated when you're on food stamps.

  • @NativeMediterranean Your right about Argentina... I have some family there and when I went to visit them all I saw were White Eurpeans... Italian is also spoken there a lot. In fact the largest population of Italians outside of Italy is #2 Brazil and #3 Argentina... You facts and figures can be backed up by the "CIA Factbook" it's on the internet... just google the title "cia factbook".

  • @NativeMediterranean Well..with the truth finally told we can believe that there

is no difference between South America and the USA. The grinding poverty, the hopelessness, the civic failure..the machismo, the low culture..the political corruption

that characterizes South America really isnt there. And American cities that become

Latino..dont quickly become shitholes just like back home

  • @NativeMediterranean Its amusing you say that b/c even though your comment is geared to AA's they only make up 11% of the pop. I also find it disturbing that lighter skinned Central &Southern Americans feel they are superior to Natives or mixed Africans yet knowing the irony that you guys wouldn't be accepted in European society. Embrace one another and stop with the racism/prejudices .

  • @NativeMediterranean the 97% is because many peope are from different countries

  • @drki11joy123 :You to travel more and then also read more since you haven't any factual information to back your statements. Whites make up about 38% of all Latin America. If you go to Argentina, Brasil, Uruguay and Chile and even Paraguay you will find tens of mllions of whites and the native Americans as a small minority. Most people in Latin American are mixed and not pure native Americans. You cannot deny people their lineage. It's racist to force people to deny their mixed heritages.

  • WTF? LMFAOOO xD. Nice music though btw

  • Just remember guys brazil is the best of all latins

  • Brazil is the second country with more whites of the Americas, the U.S. is the first.

  • I think people from any place can look by anyway, don't?

  • With that being said, I don't know the ACTUAL numbers but it's safe to guess that the number of white Latinos could possibly be significantly lower than what is actually listed. Even one or two of them women in your video, I wouldn't consider them to be white Latinas, like the woman you chose to represent D.R. (former Miss Universe).

  • @YoungCeas ONLY a n****r could be this stupid. The number of European immigrants that settled in Latin America VASTLY outnumbers the number of African slaves brought to Latin America. I've lived in Argentina (only white people), Brazil (mostly white people), and Venezuela (mostly mestizos but a lot of whites too. The ONLY people who lie about Latin America are ghetto spanglish speaking wanna be half-n****r half latin pieces of shit in the NYC area.

  • @YoungCeas :It shows that you need to get your luggage ready and start to travel instead of spewing mere propagandas from racist teachings.

  • @YoungCeas No its not. Personally as far as I am concerned if you look white then you are white. End of story.

  • No disrespect to your video but it's difficult to find the ACTUAL demographics for Latin America because in a country like, say Brazil, you may have someone who is mestizo, mulatto or even black actually list themselves as white in a census because they have money or because of their social background. Also a lot of Latinos that are black(D.R. for example) don't consider themselves black and will list themselves as mulatto or other as not to be identified as black when they actually are black.

  • @YoungCeas In Brazil, PRIOR to the huge surge of European immigrants in the 1800s, the country was still 1/3 pure white, 1/3 Mestizo, 1/3 Black/Mulatto. Its hilarious how you ghetto monkeys pull these opinions out of your ass because you're all half black american and you want Latin America to resemble you meanwhile you have no connection to Latin America. Northeastern hispanics are more like ghetto black people than Latin Americans.

  • @YoungCeas

white latin americans vastly outnumber blacks and mullatos

  • @YoungCeas doesnt america do same, they list themselves, most of them are mixed, what happened to the one drop rule?

  • @YoungCeas :It was the racist slave owners who denied a mixed person the right to cherish their white heritage. To deny a person their lineage is absurd and racist. Everyone should not deny their ancestry just because racist pigs believe they should. If a person has 4 or ten different heritages then they should have the freedom to cherish it! It's a G-D given right to be what one is not what others would have you be.

  • @prking66 According to the 2006 census, White Brazilians make up 49.7% of Brazil's population, or 93.096 million people. Mestizos/Mulattos make up 42.6% or 79.782 million people of Brazil's population. Blacks are 7.4% or 12.908 million people of Brazil's population. You're Blocked for ignorance.

  • @NativeMediterranean

NM, I agree with you, whites are the majority of brazil.

and most of the pardos are either mestizo or triracial and yet you got all these fucking afro centrist retards trying to claim them as black or mullato when there not.

  • @prking66 LOL GOOGLE IS YOUR SOURCE? MY SOURCE IS BRAZIL'S OFFICIAL CENSUS BUREAU. GO PICK UP YOUR WELFARE CHECK MONKEY.

  • @prking66 I said you were a moron because you don't know how to count. Read the post by NativeMediterranean so you can have a clue on how to count. Think before you type and make smart comments. Don't talk out of your ass because you just make a fool of yourself.

  • @NativeMediterranean actually brazil has the largest black population in latin america which is 115 million

  • @prking66 Actually Brazil is 49% White, 44% Mestizo/Mulatto, 6% Black, and 1% other.

That is 11 million Blacks moron!

  • @prking66 Yeah. You moron. Learn to count!!

  • HAHA stupid racist video. If you want to show the true people be fair and show the population not the just white. Thats not a true representation of the countries you listed. I hate people like this

  • @AlwaysListen2Tee Latin America is 34-37% White making white the largest ethnicity :)

  • @AlwaysListen2Tee There is nothing racist on this video. The point of the video was not to prove that Latin America is white, On the contrary, the point made was that Latin America is united in their diversity.

  • Latinos can be of different race but I still consider myself latino because its what identifies me as someone who hails from latin america... my race is white due due to spaniard heritage and i come from chile.

but go to chile and you will see lots of indigenous people

  • umm yea they all look white.. its funny how the minority is trying to act as if they are BIGGER than they really are when they dont know how much white/spanish theyre really is lol.. try 75% of the world if not MORE

  • @InsideYourFuckenHead Latin America is 34% white. The remaining 66% (NOT 75%) is half Mestizo (White and Native mixed together). The remaining 32% is made of Natives, Mulattos, Blacks, and Asians.

  • @NativeMediterranean No, you are wrong, sir. Europe is an estimated 85% Caucasian, and when i said 75% i was talking about the WORLD white population, sir. I'm not trying to offend you but your information is incorrect, SIR. If you have actually been to these parts of Europe, and if you actually did your research i think it would be in your best interest to find the facts, and not spread lies about a place that you've most likely never been. In Europe - 85% World - 75%.

  • @InsideYourFuckenHead 1) This is a video about Latin America where I'm from. 2) I've lived in Europe for 4 years in Milan, so try again monkey face.

  • @NativeMediterranean I see what your trying to say but your video portrayed as Latin America as solely Caucasian..when clearly its NOT! Also, where are you getting your percentages from?

  • I like this video!!! It's time for Americans and others to know the real truth......When I say I am Puerto Rican they don't believe me. To my roommates I had to show them my birthcertificate. They think we're all black or mestizos.

  • Interesting video!

  • Argentina is the largest Latin American country with European ethnicity

  • yes of course ALL women are SOOO beautiful

    What world do you live?

Latin Americans? WTF, we are AMERICANS, from Canada to Argentina. Latinos were the Roman Empire.

  • @AngelocoCR DNA HAS PROVED YOU WRONG NIGGER!

  • U talk like if u'd know something about DNA,,, this is the human gnome, the difference of human is a 3%, that 3% means not important things like the color of the eyes, hair and skin... and i'm still saying.. read it, watch it, study it... or just watch national geographic.... so next time u post something u won't see as a fool as u r...

  • DNA has proven by National Geographic as well that Northern Africa such as Ancient Egyptians NEVER had the same Y-Chromosome or MtDNA as niggers like you!

  • the bolivian girl at 34 seconds looks mestizo and is most likely mestizo. around 55% of bolivia's population is native indian, 30% is mestizo(native indian and european) and 15% pure white. Also, the biggest racial group in latin america is mestizo, NOT WHITE.

  • Latin America is 34% White while 31% Mestizo. Clearly you can't count.

  • Like the video ,

finally someone who knows something about latin america.

yes, whites and mestizos together make up the majority of latin america.

  • in hispanic america meaning just spanish speaking countries do mestizos make up the biggest ethnic group with whites being second.

but in all of latin america whites are the biggest with mestizos second.

  • Well Brazil is what makes whites the largest ethnic group in Latin America.

  • @NativeMediterranean - UMM NEWS Flash its NOT! Have you ever been to Brazil or read about the demographics? Unfortunately, Brazilians hate their African ancestry so they have 3 classifications to choose from... "white, brown, and black."So most Brazilians consider themselves white bc that's what's more "fashionable" down there. For example. you can be dark as midnight but consider yourself white just to be accepted in society.

  • @NativeMediterranean Also, in the telenovela's in Brazil they only promote and portray the white Brazilians and it blinds other countries that Brazil is predominately white Hispanic country when its Not. Please try to research the strong african influence of Latin Americas before posting false realities.

  • @cherish112 Brazil is 49%-53% White, making the mainstream majority culture European, try again chonga.

  • @applesause5440 Well the biggest country in Hispanic America is Brazil. Hispanic does not mean people who speak Spanish, it means descendants of the Iberian Peninsula (Portugal and Spain)

  • @BarcelonaArmada How is Brazilians considered Hispanic! They are Lusitanic if I am not mistaken! Right? Hispanic comes from Hispania which was the name for what is now modern day Spain! Brazilians are Lusitanic!

  • @chsn09 Hispanic comes from Hispania which is the Roman (Latin name) for the IBERIAN Peninsula (Portugal and Spain). Get your facts straight before making a fool of yourself.

  • Brazilians are not considered Hispanic. Brazilians actually use the term "Hispanic" to refer to people with natal and/or ancestral ties to Spanish-speaking Latin America. You're using archaic definition of Hispanic. Modern definition of Hispanic only includes Spanish-speaking cultures.

Hispanics don't consider Brazilians Hispanic either.

Furthermore, the U.S. Census Bureau does not categorize Brazilians as Hispanics, nor do they group Brazilians under the Latino umbrella either.

  • @Marllon This post is about Latin America and not about your USA country. Just so you know in Latin America, we could care less what the U.S. Census Bureau opinion is about our continent. The USA does not define our identity. It is people in Latin America who define their own identity and culture. By the way I'm Brazilian from Florianópolis and an American is not gonna lecture me about my own country. We know our history, our culture and our roots and we are proud to be Latin/Hispanic.

  • @Marllon So the fact that you hate Brazil and Latin America in general does not mean we have to take your nonsense. By the way, here in Brazil we call Americans Anglo and I've traveled across Latin America from Argentina to Mexico and guess what!!! They all call you Anglo!!! And we don't care if you whine about it, you are still Anglo to us.!!!

  • I'm not American, I'm a Brazilian in the U.S., so, no, I'm not Anglo. Also, Americans of Latin American and/or Latin European background aren't considered Anglos in the U.S. either.

Where did you get that I hate Brazil and Latin America? Are you psychotic or something? I made nothing near negative remark about Latin America and Brazil. Check your lyrics before you come at me with that nonsense.

I am Brazilian and I know Brazilians, I've never met one in my life who identifies as Hispanic.

  • You are not Brazilian, you are simply pretending to be. What kind of Brazilian would have user name like "BarcelonaArmada"? That's horseshit.

If you were actually Brazilian, you'd know that no Brazilian would call him or herself "Hispanic", and a minority even refer to themselves as "Latino". Every Brazilian I know refers to Spanish-speaking Latin Americans as "hispanos", which is Spanish for "Hispanic", never themselves.

  • @Marllon "LOL"

  • @BarcelonaArmada No you should get your facts straight before making a fool of yourself! You should think twice about pointing the finger at others because people may be doing it more at you! My main point is that if you look at the dictionary and history HISPANIC which derives from Hispania refers to the Spanish portiion of Iberian Peninsula! The equivalent term as I said before is LUSITANIC! And I checked before commenting!

  • @chsn09 Hey Poor Idiot and I'm a History professor at Universidade de São Paulo. I'm trying to teach something about my country Brazil. Our history is not defined by Americans so stop using an American English dictionary. Hispania was a Roman province during the Roman empire that comprised the whole of the Iberian Peninsula. The Roman empire didn't have a province called Lusitania. Do yourself a favor a get a book about the Roman political map.

  • @BarcelonaArmada Hey you poor loser dolt, I study history! And I thought you said you were Dominican on another video! And you don't know what my background or culture is so don't assume! And I know my history! Hispania was a Roman province during the Roman Empire! I know that fool, but it was centered around what is now the Spaniards identity! PORTUGAL eventually split from Spain becoming what is known as Lusitania! I read books on the Roman political map!

  • @BarcelonaArmada Though often used interchangeably in American English, Hispanic and Latino are not identical terms, and in certain contexts the choice between them can be significant.

  • @chsn09 In Brazil we don't learn out history or culture by reading an American English book so what you say it's laughable and it makes you look like a total ignorant who doesn't know about the world. Get out of your house, you might find that there are other countries who don't need Americans to know about their own cultures.

  • @BarcelonaArmada Another arrogant YT fool! This is not a matter of dicitonary preferences or what is better! And I don't read just American English books! What you are saing is laughable! And sorry, I think you are the one who is confined to your house! I have a life and I have friends from various cultural backgrounds and travel! Maybe if you would expand your mind on how terms can be expandable you could realize the difference! Who knows

  • @chsn09 You are totally lost and don't know what's coming out of your mouth. There was not Spanish or Portuguese identity during the Roman empire bubu. Even nowadays in Spain there are different identities (Catalan, Galician, Basque, Castilian, Andalusians). There were different kingdoms and there was not concept of nation yet. And Galician and Portuguese is almost the same language. I hope you learned something today.!!!

  • @BarcelonaArmada NO, I am not lost at all buddy! I know there were no corresponding Spaniard or Portuguese identity, but I was referring to the areas of to which the corresponding entities are today and what they were in ancient times! Yeah I am aware of the ethnic divisions and regions of Portugal and Spain, and everything you said is OLD NEWS to me! I knew that already, but I appreciate YOUR lecture -_-My point is that Hispanic in recent modern times corresponds mainly to Spain

  • @chsn09 Running out of arguments? You've been exposed as a bull shit artist.

And again modern definitions of a term derives from the history of its people. In this case the term Hispanic shows prove of the history of the Iberian Peninsula (Portugal and Spain). This is accepted by the political and economical classes, universities elites and all international organizations. It's part of the history books. And you can whine all you want, but you're not an authority in the subject.

  • @BarcelonaArmada "LOL"! And you have been exposed as a bullshit poser who poses as things that you are not so that what you argue and preach seems valid but YOU are not fooling me! And again I agree with you that Hispanic at one time did include ALL of the Iberian Peninsula, that is Spain and Portugal, but in modern times and now it corresponds to SPAIN and Spanish influence! Portuguese derived and influences are part of the term LUSITANIC! We can just agree to disagree on the matter!

  • @chsn09 Anyway, I was wondering why would an American like yourself get out of your way for an issue that is clearly not American. Wouldn't be more beneficial to your country if you focus on the issues of the USA, which are many instead of spending so much time and energy into other countries' business? I hope you learn something new about another country that is not yours but I'd advice you that before expressing any opinions try to teach yourself about the subject first.

  • @BarcelonaArmada I am American but that is NOT all of what I am! I am other things too, but that is besides the point! LIKEWISE, I was wondering why a Spaniard or poser of different nationlaities would flaw and claim things to support their arguments! And wouldn't it be more beneficial if you focused on DR or BRAZIL as you claimed those nationalities! My mind is my business and Latin America and the Caribbean are my business! And YOUR PAGE says that United States is your country hypocrite!

  • @BarcelonaArmada Another thing, I would advise that before you express any opinions or arguments teach yourself and research about the subjects as well! I know I always do that! And I worry about USA and and other parts of the world as this is one globe one world! Anyway, as I said again, we can agree to disagree, respectively!

  • @chsn09 I never give out opinions, I just state the facts. There is nothing to disagree when it comes to facts. If you want change the status quo or go against the establishment provide the name of an expert on the subject so you can back up your argument. But when you lie to support your claim, you are only making yourself look bad. If you were trying to deceive and scam people in youtube, let me tell you that people here are smarter than you think and won't take your BS as a fact.

  • @BarcelonaArmada Like I said! This is not a matter of being smarter or not! I don't assume people on YT to be dumb unless it shows obviously! There is NO scam! And I give out opinions when neccessary, but I just state the facts as well! People do debate this matter at times! Also you make yourself look bad when you claim to be of a certain nationality to make your argument look valid or so that you can win your claim or argument! So your BS and facts are likewise debateable!

  • @BarcelonaArmada Hispanic, from the Latin word for "Spain," has the broader reference, potentially encompassing all Spanish-speaking peoples in both hemispheres and emphasizing the common denominator of language among communities that sometimes have little else in common. Latino —which in Spanish means "Latin" but which as an English word is probably a shortening of the Spanish word latinoamericano —refers more exclusively to persons or communities of Latin American origin.

  • @BarcelonaArmada Of the two, only Hispanic can be used in referring to Spain and its history and culture; a native of Spain residing in the United States is a Hispanic, not a Latino, and one cannot substitute Latino in the phrase the Hispanic influence on native Mexican cultures without garbling the meaning.

  • @BarcelonaArmada In practice, however, this distinction is of little significance when referring to residents of the United States, most of whom are of Latin American origin and can theoretically be called by either word. · A more important distinction concerns the sociopolitical rift that has opened between Latino and Hispanic in American usage.

  • @chsn09 The again we don't care about what the reality is in the USA. Latin America is NOT the USA. So if you wanna talk about the USA, make your own video about people living in the USA.

  • @BarcelonaArmada Way to twist my comments around again! I am NOT talking about USA! I am talking about Latin America but more particularly to your comment about Brazil being part of Hispanic America! Brazil is part of Lusitanic America or the Lusophone world! Hispanic America refers to the Spanish speaking nations of the Americas!

  • @BarcelonaArmada For a certain segment of the Spanish-speaking population, Latino is a term of ethnic pride and Hispanic a label that borders on the offensive. According to this view, Hispanic lacks the authenticity and cultural resonance of Latino, with its Spanish sound and its ability to show the feminine form Latina when used of women.

  • @BarcelonaArmada Furthermore, Hispanic —the term used by the U.S. Census Bureau and other government agencies—is said to bear the stamp of an Anglo establishment far removed from the concerns of the Spanish-speaking community.

  • @BarcelonaArmada While these views are strongly held by some, they are by no means universal, and the division in usage seems as related to geography as it is to politics, with Latino widely preferred in California and Hispanic the more usual term in Florida and Texas.

  • @chsn09 You don't make any sense. This post is about Latin America and you still keep talking about people living in the USA. Why you keep talking about the USA when this post is clearly about Latin America? California, Texas and Florida is not Latin America.

  • @BarcelonaArmada I commented those a while ago! And you don't make any sense! Aside from your insulting useless and uneccesary comments, my main point is that Hispania corresponds mainly to Spain! The whole Iberian Peninsula was united under what is now Spain, but Portugal broke off and hence why they became known as Lusitania! And you are lying about being Brazilian because you claimed to be a Dominican when you accused mrdominican777 of NOT being Dominican!

  • @BarcelonaArmada Even in these regions, however, usage is often mixed, and it is not uncommon to find both terms used by the same writer or speaker.

  • Que ricas
