Hello friend I can say as you put the sticker is not as off the paper they are and where you have another question because the drives, thanks for helping
I'm not sure I understand both of your questions, but I'll give it a shot. The decals were water-slide and were included with the kit from EPF. The drive sets were purchased from RC-warbirds and are the 3Ws with 70mm fans.
No, it was a kit. They were sold as either EPF or Airpower F-14s. Nice quality, although the foam does take some prep work to get a nice finish. I'm actually building one of the shumate SU-37s right now that will have the same EDF system. She will replace the f14, which I did eventually dig in.
A high % of humans lack proper depth perception to fly around poles like that. Too hard for hte human brain to know which is closer, the pole or the plane.
I would find a new place to fly or it will happen again.
I don't usually fly over that part of the field, so its never been an issue before or since... I do need to find a larger field for the faster and larger aircraft though. For my parkflyers this field will be just fine.
No, the wings are fixed. There are a few new f14 models coming out soon that have variable geometry wings, and the Steve Schumate parket plans are available and can be converted for EDF. I'll be building one of the new kits when they hit the market. I'm waiting for the dual 70mm EDF kit.
At this scale there isn't really a benefit in speed to sweeping the wings. Not a significant reduction in FSA and a bit more drag. Slows the pitch reaction but increases roll rate, if I remember correct
Check out RCGroups Foamy EDF forum for details on the two kits being developed. I think one was for 64mm and one was for 70mm, both with retracts and swing mech included.
I didn't have any trouble with it. Just use identical power system and check the watt output of each individual fan outside of the airframe. The wiring harness took about an hour to put together, and this was my first dual-motor system. It really isn't too hard to do. I would definitely not recommend this as a first RC airplane, but it was my first jet and until that point the fastest thing I had flown. I'm hoping to scratch-build an SU-37 this winter that will reuse some of the parts...
She is from EPF hobbies and I got her from ejf-dot-com. If you go to wattflyer-dot-com and search for posts under my name (wilmracer) you'll find a build thread. The wings don't swing though... there are some nice new f14 models on the horizon though...
It was foam, and the next crash was a lot worse. I had about close to 70 flights on it before pilot error resulted in a 70mph nose first "landing". I never got a chance to radar her and haven't got the trick of these doppler programs, but others with similar setups have seen 80 - 90 mph. Maybe even a little faster as I kept her really light. I'll definately have another F14 one day.
hello good feel much the first thing I think that the coup was to blame for the high-tension cable is as follows that I am in anticipation of a f14 that my questions are as engine for batrias and finally drive it because as I have two turbines of 74mm and engine 850W and 2550kv have a enpuge of 850g will be worth to put me, thank you very much hope your news from spain
She is from EPF, available on the EJF website. She takes a bit of prep work to clean up the foam but goes together nice. Now that I've got the hang of flying this thing I need to get some footage of aerobatics rather than just high speed passes.
We still don't have the hang of recording these things. 30+ minutes of tape and less than 2 minutes of useable aerial footage where you can see the plane. We'll get it eventually.
how the hell would u ever retrieve that fuckin thing

can the wings on your f14 go back like the real one?

Also is twin motors harder to maintain and get tuned correct compared to a single ducted fan
