what type of sight are you runnin on the ar on top ? I've seen alot of people go with that sight but i havent been able to find the name or brand any where, whats your thoughts on it?
thanks for the vid - looking at picking up a set of replica troy sights (airsoft) for my SR22, this vid helped because it showed them mounted on a flat top rail which I wasn't sure if they would align correctly or not
@landlubber180 look at 1:12 it's got the Military & Police logo on the side of the rail which is Troy along with the flip up sights... this one is the 15T. I got mine sitting up in AK till I can get it in Aug. :-/
AGREED! They are the most durable, lock up very tight and don't have big adjustment knobs so you don't bump it or some knucklehead doesn't play games with your sights.
Troy makes great stuff but in a rail I prefer the Daniel Defense. The Troy rails are great too but just a few ounces heavier then the DD.
What's your opinion on the flip up polymer sights that Magpul (MBUS) sells? The only reason I worry is because they seem to be popular with the air soft guys. I just don't know if I want to use sights that are also used on BB guns.
they probably just use them because they're inexpensive. polymer has proven itself time and time again to be just as durable at its steel counterparts.
I trust a BUIS on mine.

what kind of rails are on the bottom gun?
landlubber180 2 years ago
That is a Ruger SR556 which has a Troy Industries rail
GunWebsites 2 years ago
on second glance is that not an m&p 15 T
i just noticed it has no gas dial so i dont think its a ruger non the less it has troy rails
landlubber180 2 years ago
good eye, you are correct it can't be a Ruger SR556
I think it is a S&W, the full length rail fooled me

Those Troy sights are fucking expensive !!!! What are you made of money?

some people value quality over cost

Yea I agree but you have multiple sets of them..... jesus!!!

I don't run them, so I can't speak from experience... yet
But I think they are far from 'toys'
Magpul knows polymer and these seem as well made as their stocks, grips and mags
IMO, these are real nice options for Back Up sights, since they weigh less, and cost less than most

Does the V notch have an advantage over the circular notch any advantage? 2:17 to 2:24

I think other people may have other opinions.. but I like the HK (round) style more.. But they both work well really
IMO the round style gives just a bit more field of view
