  • Why are you using your wipers in this test? Isn't the idea that you don't need your wipers? Rain-x is junk, that I agree.

  • I am in the Automotive Industry and the results shoe Aquapel is Far Superior to RainX.

Might cost more but you have to do it far less.

And if you get a Chip or Crack on your Windshield that is reapairable RainX can prevent that repair causing a full repalcement.

  • Try NanoLotus® Auto Glass Sealant Pro

The best water repellent and prices

  • if aquapel lowered their ridiculous prices I would consider it. The aquapel sounds like it could have an advantage in the winter with snow, salt etc. But the RainX also works in those conditions for a long time itself all for 6 dollars a bottle [which will last you years.] Aquapel needs to lower the prices hell they could still still be more money than RainX and get better business but they need to lower those prices MORE. [get off that high horse.]

  • you are talking about white bread VS wholemeal bread... wholemeal bread is more expensive because of some hidden advantages that you can see with your naked eyes.

Rain-X will speed up the wear of your wipers and glass than Aquapel. It is money VS quality question... but only if you can see and really understand it.

  • It doesn't look like there is THAT much difference in price. I just may give it a try.

  • The price of the Aquapel isn't worth it. The Rain-X actually outperforms the Aquapel in the beginning of the test, Rain-X is cheap, you can buy a large spray bottle of Rain-X for around 6 dollars and it would last you for at least a couple of years even if you re-applied it every month. Rain-X is the winner it has more value. I use Rain-X and 1 application lasts at least two months for me and I keep my vehicle outside!

  • Well, that depends on how often you want to jump around your car with a paper towel. With Aquapel you need to do that only once about half a year. With rain-x you do it every month. If you don't take in account your time and efforts, then yes, rain-x is better. I prefer Aquapel.

  • rain-x is an oil layer...

aquapel is a Fluoropolymer Chemistry product... * Formulated to stop moisture and salt penetration. * Odorless/VOC compliant formulation. * Ready-to-use, non-flammable, non-volatile, waterborne formulation. * Environmentally safe. * Invisible, non-darkening. * Breathable.

  • @ siowwf83 [the owner of the video] You must be a aquapel spokesperson or something. I'm sure everything you said about aquapel is true but like I said for the value the rainX outperforms aquapel. It's very difficult to remove RainX it lasts on my car through car washes ethyl alchohol based windshield washer fluids for MORE than two months. In fact on my car it'll last the entire summer on into late fall! The bottle will last YEARS!!! all for around 6 dollars.

  • Video needs to be in higher quality and bigger resolution.
